Earlier Today...
The screen opens up to the outside of the venue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We see a car pull into the semi-vacated parking lot and find a nice spot close to the arena before parking. A towering, hooded figure steps out of the car and heads towards the trunk. The hooded figure opens the trunk and proceeds to grab some bags out before closing the trunk and heading towards the entrance of the arena. As the figure gets closer we see that it is the League's resident angry man, Nuclear Templeton. As Nuclear approaches one of the side doors into the venue, apparently intent on avoiding any fans who may be gathering early in order to stargaze, a familiar voice breaks the comfortable silence Nuclear was enjoying.
Voice: "Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to give me the time of day."
Nuclear turns around and we see that it is none other than Scott Stevens.
Nuclear Templeton: "You've never asked me for the time of day. I'm busy, so make it quick. What do you want?"
Scott Stevens: "What do I want? What do I want!? You know damn well what I want. I want an answer to the proposition I gave weeks ago about teaming up for the tag tournament."
Nuclear Templeton: "You aren't the only person who wants to team with me, I need more time to think about it"
Nuclear motions to step past, intent on not being forced into an answer if he can help it but the sharp tone in Scott Stevens' stops him in his tracks.
Scott Stevens: "No! You won't think about it. I want my answer now. You know how hard it is to get a hold of you?"
Nuclear Templeton: "Not hard enough it would seem. How did you know which door I'd be coming in?"
Scott Stevens: "I offered a man a little financial lubrication and he just seemed to have all the answers I needed. So what's your answer."
Nuclear Templeton: "I know there isn't a lot of time left before the Tag Team Turmoil Tournament, but I need more time to weigh up my options and I didn't even know you were an option until recently. Asking someone to be your tag team partner is about trust and respect, so it's good to see you can man up and offer me some of that by meeting with me."
Scott Stevens: (Scorpion laughs) "You're too funny man. For you claiming I needed to man up and come talk to you in person what the hell do you think I've been trying to do for the past couple of weeks? I've tried to get your attention on twitter to set up a meeting. Hell, I even sent my personal interviewer to set up a face to face meeting but he told me you had already left the arena. You see Templeton you aren't a very social person and trying to get a hold of you is very difficult. I had to find out from a movie character's vlog that you don't have any kind of social media or internet access of any kind. I mean it's the year 2012 how the hell can you not have social media or internet when the world runs on it? Answer me this. Do you still use a rotary phone to call people? You use a pigeon to send letters out? I'm just curious now."
Scorpion smirks to himself and we see Nuclear starting to get mad.
Nuclear Templeton: "You know what, Scott? You know what you ignorant, arrogant ass****? I don't need to talk all the time and be the new hot topic. It's not important to me that everyone knows all the little facets of my life. I don't need people to know where I am or what I'm doing or who I'm doing it with or what name label I'm wearing today. What's important to you isn't the same as what is important to me. I'm happy enough letting people be whoever they want to be but as soon as someone tries to tell me who I am or what I'm going to be, then we've got problems. And if you start trying to push my buttons then there's only one way this is gonna end."
Scott Stevens: "Really now? And what makes you think you can take me Nuke'Em? I'm the best wrestler in the world after all or have you forgotten this?"
Nuclear stares angrily at Scorpion as he pats his Legacy Pro Wrestling title belt with one hand then rests his hand on Nuclear's shoulder and slowly brings down his sunglasses.
Scott Stevens: Apparently you been living under a rock and don't know exactly who you are addressing here. Let me properly introduce myself to you.
Scorpion takes his sunglasses off and his smirk has turned to a scowl before he begins to speak again.
Scott Stevens: My name is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens, but you may address me as Mr. Stevens or Champ. I am the son of Cary Stevens, who is a Texas and southern wrestling legend. The older brother of Ricky and George Stevens. My family is a wrestling dynasty. I have been wrestling professionally for my father's company since I was sixteen years old. I am also an international icon. I am a former multiple time heavyweight champion of the world, along with other titles throughout my lengthy career. However, my biggest accomplishment is being a Hall of Fame inductee not once but twice.
Nuclear cuts of Scorpion's rant.
Nuclear Templeton: So what?
Scott Stevens: So what??? It means that I'm a one of a kind commodity. Unlike you who is simply a chump that can be replaced by any local bouncer or meathead at the nearest gym.
The fire in Nuclear's eyes has begun to burn brightly, the tension building in his muscles as his fists start to clench more and more tightly as Stevens continues to invade his personal space and brag about achievements.
Nuclear Templeton: The League has one of the greatest rosters of assembled talent from around the world that there ever has been. There are people on the roster from all around the world... Mexico, Scotland, Samoa, Germany, Italy, England, and of course, the US. Maybe not all the biggest names there have ever been, but someone for everyone to love and to hate. In the League you're just another face in the crowd, another guy who might help put some asses in seats but no more than the combined talents of everyone else. You think you're a big shot because you've got some money, some name value and a title belt from a promotion that can only hope to dream on as big a scale as the League operates. When I see you needing your family to help you out in a fight, and I hear you running your mouth about great you are when I also see you failing to even make the playoffs every year... then I see you as a nobody. A has been, a once was, a never will be again.
Scott Stevens: You know what? I think you consider me a nobody because when you began in my profession I had been in retirement for close to eight years recovering from injuries and not being burnt out by the industry. With you suffering from Interphobia I'll let your lack of respect for not knowing the hard work I've done to help lay the foundation so you could start a wrestling career slide.
Nuclear Templeton: "My career has nothing to do with you. I started because a promoter wanted to see who would win in a fight between me and some other guy. And ever since then I've shown that I'm gonna win a lot more often than not. I've not some guy off the street who has connections, I'm not the kind of guy to go bribing promoters to help get me into matches I don't deserve. I win some, I lose some. And all the way up my rise I've put in my hours of training to be the very best I can be... and every season I take that step closer to being League champion and realising a dream of being the very best, something you'll never be. It's only out of respect for everyone else in the League that I keep myself to myself, because you can't handle what I have to say about you."
Scorpion walks up to Nuclear and grabs two handfuls of hoodie, pulling Nuclear in so that they're nose to nose.
Scott Stevens: "I won't allow this disrespect to slide. Have you not been paying attention? The partner you want to team with, I've beaten him the last two times I've faced him. That means he isn't in my league even with that biased skank whose in his corner. Also, that big shiny championship I carry to the ring every night where do you think I got that from? Out of a Cracker Jack box? I won it and it proves that after eight years in retirement I am still the best in the world because I win championships when given the shot. You, on the other hand, are what we call back home a choke artist because you can't get the job done. Am I right Cundiff???"
Nuclear Templeton: "You're a big fish in a small pond. One of the great things about The League is that they keep stats, stats that anyone can look up whenever they want. And you know what? They say that you're a nobody who has accomplished nothing of note here. So if you want to be able to use those hands of yours in future, I suggest you take them off me right now or there's going to be a Nuclear Incident that we both regret."
Instead of letting go Scorpion brings Nuclear in closer, causing Nuclear to get a grip of Scorpion's shirt, popping a button off into the distance in the process as both men look like they are approaching breaking point.
Scott Stevens: "You know what... the better question I should be asking is who the hell you are? What have you done lately besides being a choke artist? I chose you personally to help me with winning the one accolade that has eluded me my entire career and that is a world tag team championship."
Nuclear Templeton: "I'm Nuclear Templeton and your hands are still on me. Don't make me f*** you up."
Scott Stevens: "Big words from a small man. Correction. Big words from a nobody. Better men have tried and they all have failed. You see Templeton, you can hate me or love me but the fact remains I am the face of this organization whether I am the champion or not and that is something you will never be. I could have helped you achieve that level of success and it would have started with us winning the tag team tournament but you want to team with a loser."
Scorpion removes his hands from Nuclear's hoodie and Nuclear slowly lets go of Scorpion's shirt at the same time, with neither man breaking eye contact until both have their hands at a safe distance from each other. Scorpion takes a step back before speaking again.
Scott Stevens: "When people look back at the legacy of Nuclear Templeton and see what contributions he has made to the wrestling industry they will see that he was a nobody that was simply a cliff note in the legacy of Scott Stevens."
Scorpion pushes Nuclear and begins to walk off. Nuclear's eyes bulge from his head as his temper explodes, turning him bright red as he takes a couple of steps and launches into an Armageddon Lariat to the back of Scorpion's head, but Scorpion senses it coming and manages to roll through with the impact as the two men start brawling in the corridor. Within moments debris is strewn all over the place as both men fight to get the upper hand, Nuclear throwing wild punches that connect with random items as much as they do with Scorpion, who while unable to stop Nuclear from doing a lot of damage is unable to stop him from trying as Nuclear hits berserk mode. As Nuclear slips on some debris Stevens manages to get to full mount position on Nuclear in a bid to gain control but is still unable to do anything about Nuclear as he throws punches wildly, shaking him off and going for a mount as event security flow into the area. Nuclear throws a couple of wild blows at Scorpion as he gets his hands up to defend himself, letting security do the rest of the work as four men pull Nuclear off by the arms. Nuclear flails and kicks his way free but finally gets a moment of lucidity again, seeing Scorpion smiling to himself on the floor and realising what has happened...
Nuclear Templeton: "F***!"
Nuclear slams a violent right fist into the nearby wall, leaving a visible dent before storming off, leaving his bag behind. Some security watch him leave while others turn to Scorpion who is already pulling himself to his feet and starting to say some noxious things to the security. We stick with two security as we leave...
Security #1: "We should go after him in case he does something else."
Security #2: "You see this dent in the wall?"
Security #1: "What about it."
Security #2: "This is a brick wall and he just put it there."
Security #1: "Oh."
Security #2: "Let's just get his bag over there and take it to him when he's calmed down a little."
And on that, the camera fades to black.

The Tag Team Turmoil Brackets
Once more, we cut to backstage and the Commissioner's Office.
Colt Marshall: Before we get to our next match of the night, it is time to announce the pairings for the first night of The League's two-night Tag Team Turmoil event.
Like last season, there will be two matches designed to whittle the field down to eight teams. These preliminary round matches will feature the team of Super Century and Master Imoka face the team of Jack Lightning and Eidenhoek Gaiaspade, with the other pairing in this round featuring Robbie Maynard and Johnny Triumph take on the team of Nuclear Templeton and The Phoenix.
In the quarterfinal round, The Axis of Flavor will face the team of Pizza Mask III and Tarik Nolan, while the team of Scott Stevens and Sebastian Moore will face the pairing of Ben Stanton and Ian Carlisle. The defending Tag Team Turmoil champions, Vicious & Delicious, and the team of Thor Hammerskald and Sean, will both face one of the teams that wins their opening round match. The pairings will then proceed like a standard tournament.
I hope that you will tune in next week, as this event promises to be one of the best in League history.
