Season Five, Week Fourteen
Sunderland, England
March 13, 2012
ALPHA DIVISION: Scott Stevens (5-8, 11%) vs. Nuclear Templeton (8-5, 12%)
The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling champion, complete with belt around the waist. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while pointing at the LPW title around his waist. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down the entranceway, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.
Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest of the day is an Alpha Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...The Master of Disaster, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only, and the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!
Bob Sinclair: Scorpion has tweeted that he intends to simply lay down the rest of the season; any thoughts on this matter?
Frankie Garnett: Man has a right to. He's another promotion's champion, he can do whatever he damn well pleases!
Tori Montgomery: He claims inept officiating, I claim that he's overrated. All I'm going to say on the matter.
Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. As he hits the end of the entrance ramp, he throws his arms into the air, sending a pair of mushroom clouds into the air from the stage as he makes his way to the ring and through the ropes with title belt firmly in hand.
Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Nuclear Templeton!
Bob Sinclair: Nuclear comes in firmly slotted in the playoff hunt, and still with a chance at winning the division outright.
Tori Montgomery: Nuclear's one of the most consistent athletes in The League, and has the record to back that up. He's going to make a move in that division soon.
Frankie Garnett: Yeah, a move to the crapper. He's as bad as Skabb in that he chokes when the pressure is on! He's The League's version of the Buffalo Bills!
