Cutting back to ringside the lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen a Texas flag, with the words, “Texas Born. Texas Bred.” “Texas Forever.“ branded into the flag. The crowd reaction is mixed, but there are more cheers than boos, as a piano calmly plays throughout the PA system and “Til I Collapse” by Eminem begins to play. The cheers intensify as the chorus hits the speakers, drawing out the man from Texas.
Bryan McVay: The following match is scheduled for one fall, first making his way to the ring from Texas and weighing in at 256 pounds… SCOTT STEVENS!!!!!
Walking down the aisle, he fists bumps some of his fans while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down at his opponent, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.
Joe Hoffman: Scott Stevens came close at War Games, but he fell at the hands of the man who won the World Title, Jace Parker Davidson. Thus also coming up just short of the ICON and LSD Titles.
Benny Newell: He was never close Joe… he was never in that match… was never gonna come close to that gold.
Joe Hoffman: Well for a man who competed in two War Games matches in one night… I think he did darn good.
Benny Newell: As good as Darin Zion though? He competed in two War Games matches, won one… and finished second in the other.
The lights fade to dark blue in the arena as Ryan’s music starts. A few bars after the music kicks in, Ryan emerges from the curtain and paces back and forth on the stage, keeping his eyes on the ring and its occupants.
Bryan McVay: And his opponent from Chicago, Illinois by way of Glasgow, Scotland… weighing in at 210 pounds… RYAN MCKENNA!!!!!
After a few paces, he breaks into a run down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope, quickly getting back onto his feet and almost running up the far turnbuckle to beat his chest and raise his fists to the crowd.
Joe Hoffman: This man finished tenth in War Games… in what can only be described as a disappointment for McKenna. But he looks to rebound here and steal a big win against Scott Stevens.
Benny Newell: Oh it’s gonna happen.
Hortega calls for the bell and we see Stevens and McKenna lock up in the middle of the ring as Stevens gets a quick knee in and DDTs McKenna to the mat. Stevens quickly goes for a rear naked choke but McKenna scurries to the ropes as Hortega makes them break. But Stevens grabs McKenna’s leg and pull him back to the middle of the ring and drops an elbow as he starts hammering away on McKenna’s head. Stevens pulls McKenna to his feet and hits a jumping calf kick.
Joe Hoffman: Houston Sidekick… Stevens for the cover!

Kickout by McKenna. Stevens pulls McKenna back up to his feet and goes for the belly to belly suplex but McKenna fights out with a couple of rights and connects with a tornado DDT. Quickly heading to the top rope McKenna waits for Stevens to rise back to his feet and leaps off for a hurricanrana and connects and Stevens is turned inside out. A quick springboard moonsault and Mckenna now goes for the pin.

Dos………….

Stevens now kicks out as McKenna pulls Stevens back up to his knees and starts unloading with a fury of kicks to the chest of Stevens. Over and over until McKenna stops and nails a missle drop kick to the chest of Stevens as he goes for another cover.
Uno……..
Dos………….
Tres……………..
Again Stevens kicks out as McKenna shakes his head and head over to the turnbuckles and climbs them as he waits for Stevens to get back to his feet. Stevens is slow, but he makes his way back to his feet as McKenna launches himself for a crossbody.
Joe Hoffman: TOXIC STING! Stevens hits it on McKenna outta mid air!
Benny Newell: Fuck….
Joe Hoffman: McKenna is out… this cover may be academic…

Bryan McVay: The winner of this match in 7:46….. SCOTT STEVENS!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Impressive win by Stevens as he picks McKenna out of the air with that Toxic Sting.
Benny Newell: Lucky Joe… he got lucky.
Joe Hoffman: Well either way he picks up a big win that will open some eyes and show everyone that his rants at War Games were more than empty words.
Hortega raises Stevens arm as he rolls out of the ring as we cut away to the backstage.
