Joe Hoffman: We’re all set for our main event of the evening!
Benny Newell: Where the fuck did the final commercial break go?!
Joe Hoffman: I guess our backstage production crew was just so excited to see this match, they said screw the last break.
Benny Newell: PROJECT FUCKING EGO!
Joe Hoffman: Should be interesting to see Mike Best back in action in a HOW ring.
Benny Newell: Interesting hoffhole? I’m on the brink of blowing my wad in my pants right now! That’s how fucking excited I am to see the Son of fucking GOD back in HOW!
Joe Hoffman: Well then let’s send it out to Bryan and get this match underway!
Bryan McVay: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall!
“The Best Around” by Joe Esposito hits as the Best Arena goes completely fucking nuts. Mike Best makes his way out onto the stage as he takes in the energy from the crowd.
Bryan McVay: Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois, he weighs in at 247 pounds HE. IS. MICHAEL. LEE. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST!!
Mike comes a storming down the ramp continuously absorbing every tiniest shred of activity as he enters the ring.
Joe Hoffman: There he is! Mike Best back in a HOW ring!
Benny Newell: FUCKING PINCH ME! Is this fucking happening right now?! God damn I feel like a five year old child right now who just popped a boner for fucking Barney. This is greatness at its finest!
King of Everything by Anarchy Club plays as Jace Parker Davidson steps out from the back. He doesn’t get quite the reaction that Mike got, but then again, not even RAH or Bestie would get the kind of reaction Mike received from the Best Arena fans. Jace starts to make his descent down the ramp as he can be seen with a sly smile as he stares right at Mike.
Bryan McVay: And his partner, from Miami, Florida, he weighs in at 232 pounds, he is JACE PARKER DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVIDSON!
Jace climbs the ropes and enters inside the ring where he shares a handshake and a hug with Mike. Jace raises Mike’s arm up in the air and points at him as the Best Arena pop their tops from all sides of the arena.
Joe Hoffman: And there the two of them stand! I think it’s safe to call this a little Project Ego don’t ya think?
Benny Newell: You’re an idiot for even thinking about asking me that question. Of course it’s a reunion! I have a current project egojaculating going on in my pants right now!
Joe Hoffman: You could have stopped with you’re an idiot you know..
Benny Newell: Fuck you Hoffy, this is an important occasion!
‘Cage The Beast’ by Adelitas Way hits as Shane Reynolds makes his way out on the stage. He stares down at Mike Best and Jace Parker Davidson as he slowly makes his way down the ramp.
Bryan McVay: And introducing their opponents, first, from Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 220 pounds, he is SHANE REYNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOLDS!
Shane makes his way down the ramp and stops just outside the ring and stares off at Jace and Mike as they just look out towards Shane and beg him to get into the ring.
Joe Hoffman: Well it looks as if Shane is not going to take any chances here tonight.
Benny Newell: Like Stevens is going to do anything for him! Stevens, can’t do shit right what makes Reynolds think he has any chance to win this match tonight?
Joe Hoffman: Well it is the HOW World Champion we’re talking about.
Benny Newell: Yes, the same HOW World Champion that won that belt cheaply with no competition! Stevens is just a paper champion!
The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area as the angelic voice of Lauryn Hill serenades the live crowd. “Ready or not, here I come, you can’t hide Gonna find you and take it slowly Ready or not, here I come, you can’t hide Gonna find you and make you want me” The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen a Texas flag, with the words, “Texas Born. Texas Bred.” “Texas Forever.“ branded into the flag. The crowd reaction is mixed, but there are more cheers than boos, as “Ready or Not” by Fugees plays throughout the PA system. As the chorus begins to fade there is one final image that is displayed across the screen and that message reads in bold, capitalized letters…..WORLD. HEAVYWEIGHT. CHAMPION as “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy begins to play. The cheers intensify as the chorus hits the speakers, drawing out the man from Texas. Stevens stands proudly on the HOW stage with his world title fastens around his waist.
Bryan McVay: And his partner, from Texas, weighing in at 256 pounds, making his way to the ring at this time, he is THE REIGNING! DEFENDING! UNDISPUTED! WORLD CHAMPION OF HIGH OCTANE WRESTLING! HE IS….SCOTT! STTTTEEEEEEEVVVVVVEEEEEENSSSSSSS!
Walking down the aisle, Stevens fists bumps some of his fans while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. Stevens nods towards Reynolds as the two rush into the ring and face off against Mike and Jace. There is already heat in the atmosphere as these four superstars stand toe to toe with each other.
Joe Hoffman: This looks to be a hotly contested match tonight! All four of these superstars are looking to hurt each other here tonight.
Benny Newell: Do you have to make things so god damn basic? You sound like a little child when you say that!
DING DING
The bell rings as both teams talk it over for a few moments. Jace and Mike actually play paper, scissors, rock to see who will start between the two. Looks like Jace wins. Mike snaps his fingers as he legit looks like he’s disappointed he lost the draw as he exits the apron. Stevens taps on Shane’s shoulder and it appears as if Stevens is going to start this match. Shane exits to the outer apron as well as Jace and Stevens start to circle each other in the ring. The two of them lock up in the middle of the ring as Stevens is already trying to force Jace off his feet. Jace is able to regain his footing, though, as he steps into a shoulder thrust that sends Stevens down into the mat. Stevens is back to his feet quickly as he is shoulder thrusted once again by the Conqueror. Stevens is resilient, though, as he gets back to his feet only for him to step right into an ensuguri kick that sends Stevens right back down into the mat. Jace drops and covers Stevens.
ONE
TWO
KICKOUT by Stevens.
Joe Hoffman: Jace with the early offense in this match.
Benny Newell: Stevens is out of his mind if he thinks he’s in the same league as Jace. Hell, that’s not even mentioning Mike!
Jace picks Stevens up and sends him back first into the corner turnbuckle. Jace charges at him and hits him with a stiff clothesline before grabbing him by the neck and hopping up to the second rope and jumping off spiraling down connecting with a tornado DDT. Jace once again covers Stevens.
ONE
TWO
Another kick out by Stevens.
Jace rolls his neck from side to side as it appears like he’s still warming himself up in this match. He grabs Stevens and throws him into the ropes but is quickly caught off guard as the HOW World Champion starts to make waves of his own. Stevens jumps up high and catches the side of Jace’s jaw with a superman punch. Stevens begins to launch his assault on Jace as he knows he has the former HOW World Champion right where he wants him. Jace gets to his feet and Stevens attempts a Toxic Sting but Jace rolls out of the ring to avoid the Texan’s satisfaction.
Joe Hoffman: Stevens tried to go for the win right there but couldn’t get Jace to bite!
Benny Newell: Stevens knows that if he doesn’t capitalize on this early that he’s fucking doomed!
Stevens rolls out of the ring in pursuit of Jace as Jace races around to the other side and slides back into the ring. Stevens rolls back into the ring as Jace charges at him but Stevens ducks and turns around and grabs Jace and powers him with a belly to back suplex. Stevens grabs Jace and hits a fisherman’s suplex into a bridge pin but quickly releases as he grabs Jace and hits a double underhook that plants Jace into the mat. Stevens takes the opportunity and covers Jace.
ONE
TWO
KICKOUT by Jace.
Joe Hoffman: Stevens actually looks pretty good right now!
Benny Newell: Ohhhh just wait for it….he will fold eventually….heh, see what I did there?
Stevens ricochets off the ropes and comes back at Jace and plants him with a running high knee to the face of Jace before planting him back into the ground with a T-bone suplex. Stevens waltz’s over and tags in Shane as Shane immediately runs towards Jace and dropkicks Jace into the ground. Shane pushes over Jace and covers him.
ONE
TWO
THR-KICKOUT by Jace.
Joe Hoffman: Shane now in this match! Things are going to get interesting.
Benny Newell: At least we don’t have origami in the ring anymore for fucks sake!
Shane grabs Jace and tosses him into the corner turnbuckle. Mike Best takes the opportunity to tag himself into the match as Jace rolls out of the ring seemingly relieved. Mike charges at Reynolds but Shane ducks and pops up and sends a hard buzz saw kick into the side of Mike’s head. Shane grabs Mike and launches him into the ropes but Mike comes back and ducks Shane’s move and grabs Shane and spins him around and nails a spinebuster leveling Shane in the middle of the ring. Mike quickly drops down and hooks the leg of Reynolds.
ONE
TWO
Joe Hoffman: A quick kick out by Reynolds there. Reynolds is still fresh in this match.
Benny Newell: And so is the Son of fucking GOD! You can’t forget about Mikey!
Shane is pulled back up to his feet by Mike as Mike starts to set off a series of rights and lefts which keeps Shane guessing on his feet. Mike steps forward again and catches him with a step up ensuguri that rocks Shane’s world. Mike doesn’t stop there, though, and bounces off the ropes and hits a running knee drop into the face of Shane. Mike once again goes for the cover.
ONE
TWO
KICKOUT by Shane again.
Joe Hoffman: Mike is staying on Shane HARD!
Benny Newell: Well no fucking shit! Mike is a VETERAN and he knows Shane very well. A lot of history between Mike and Shane.
Mike reaches down but gets buzzed by Shane by yet another buzz saw kick. Mike is actually pissed as he can’t believe he got hit by another buzz saw kick as Shane is able to get to his feet. Shane steps into Mike and lands a stiff right jab into Mike’s jaw before he hooks onto Mike’s head and hits a running bulldog taking Mike down into the mat. Shane drops down and covers Mike.
ONE
TWO
KICKOUT by Mike.
Shane doesn’t stop there, though, as he grabs Mike and tosses him into the corner turnbuckle. Instead of running at him like most people do, he just simply lifts him up to the top rope before hitting a second rope piledriver straight into the mat. Shane is nicked by the move a bit as he’s slow to cover Mike.
ONE

NO! Jace gets in the ring and breaks up the pin!
Joe Hoffman: Jace just may have saved the match up!
Benny Newell: Did you see the way Mike landed on his neck?! He has to be ok!
Shane gets back to his feet and throws some stiff kicks in the back of the head of Mike working his neck over before grabbing him by the neck and bringing him back to his feet. Mike is able to grapple with Shane as he struggles to walk backwards towards Jace as Jace is able to tag himself into the match as Mike saves himself. Shane immediately releases Mike and puts his concentration on Shane as Jace grapples with him but is taken down by a side slam by Shane. Shane drops a few elbows to the face of Jace, but Jace moves out of the way before a third one can be instigated. Jace gauges Shane before landing a stiff superkick to Shane as Shane falls backwards and Jace grabs Shane and hits a backstabber on him. Jace drops down and attempts another cover on a stunned Shane.

Joe Hoffman: NO!! Shane gets the shoulder up just in time!
Benny Newell: How did Shane survive that?! I thought he was a goner there!
Jace pounds his fist into the ground in frustration before he signals for his ending maneuver, Bow to the King. Jace bounces off the ropes and attempts it but Shane pops up out of nowhere and plants Jace with a twist of fate DDT. Shane heads up to the top rope knowing that the momentum is on his side. He gestures towards Jace before diving off and hitting a thunderous shooting star press on Jace. Shane goes down and hooks the leg of Jace.

Joe Hoffman: YES!
Benny Newell: NOOO!!!! He didn’t get it!!!
This time it is Shane who is stunned and frustrated at the Conqueror’s strong will of stubbornness. Shane takes a few steps back as he looks to be going for a shining wizard type of move but is stopped in his tracks when Scott Stevens slaps him in the back and makes the tag in. Shane turns around in a fit of rage and gets in Stevens face. He starts to argue with him on why he was tagging in when he had this taken care of. As Stevens and Reynolds continue their words, Jace is back to his feet and he actually plasters Stevens into Reynolds as Reynolds falls out of the ring. Jace strikes Stevens hard in the abdomen before bouncing off the ropes and leveling Stevens with the Bow to the King. Jace drops quickly as Stevens is stunned and he goes for the cover.

Bryan McVay: Here are your winners, JACE PARKER DAVIDSON AND MICHAEL LEE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST!!
Joe Hoffman: This one is in the books! Project Ego get the win tonight after a fallout with Stevens and Reynolds.
Benny Newell: See?! Just further proves my point about Stevens! The guy is not HOW World Champion material and he cost him and Reynold’s a win here tonight.
Joe Hoffman: Jace and Mike get a great win here tonight as Mike’s first night back in months! What a great win that was and a feel good moment that I’m sure Mike will cherish as he prepares himself to come after Stevens and that HOW World Championship!
Benny Newell: The paper shall be ripped apart and the Son of GOD will be right back where he belongs…..ON TOP OF THE HOW FUCKING WORLD!
Joe Hoffman: Well that’s all the time we have for tonight everyone! Thank you for joining us and we’ll see you next week! Goodnight everyone!
Except the show does not end…..instead the crowd turns their attention to the top of the ramp where none other than Lee Best is standing with a mic.
Joe Hoffman: Oh shit….
Lee is smiling as he stares down at the ring where his SON and right hand man have just secured a big win. The four wrestlers who just competed in the main event stare up at the GOD of HOW….Mike and Jace in the ring….Shane and the World Champion outside of the ring.
Lee Best: Look I have a MILLION things I want to say but I only came out here because of what just went down my adopted Son…Maximillian Kael.
On cue the High Octane Vision screen comes to life and the attack on Max is shown again and this time the final blow is shown in extreme slow motion. The crowd cringes at the impact.
Lee Best: You know I would like to say that I am surprised that something like this would happen but of course….this being High Octane Wrestling….I am not. Now the first thing I want to say is that the medical staff on site have stabilized Max and are going to be escorting him to Cook County hospital here shortly….its painfully obvious that Max will not be competing at ICONIC. Sadly Jatt vs. Max was never meant to be.
The crowd boos at this statement.
Lee Best: What is also painfully obvious to me is that there is only one fucking person who could have pulled that off and I KNOW it was not Jatt……..it was the motherfucker that attacked me at RATR and the man that I have purposely been avoiding in hopes that the dickhead in hopes that he would fade into the darkness that he came out of….of course I am talking about Shane Reynolds.
Everyone turns their attention to Shane who appears stunned at the allegation.
Lee Best: Do not play fucking dumb with me asshole………..but part of me is glad to see you stepped up and are that committed to getting to me that you took out my adopted Son….who is next Michael?
The cameras zoom in as Michael stares down at Shane….
Lee Best: So its painfully obvious to me what needs to happen…..I WILL NOT be wrestling at ICONIC so Shane vs. Lee is not going to happen…..but I will throw you a bone Shane. You obviously took out Max and if you want a shot at me……well you gotta go thru the rest of my family…so at ICONIC it will be Shane Reynolds versus….
Suddenly the arena goes black and the crowd erupts as several fans quickly turn on their cell phone lights to get some kind of glimpse of what is going on.
But they barely have the time as the lights come back on and we see Shane Reynolds in the grasp of a man and the man drives Shanes head down violently to the ground.
Lee Best: Shane…meet your ICONIC opponent and a man that has been family before Michael Best was revealed to be my son……….
Lee pauses as the assailant stands up, reaches down to grab the item that Shane just got his head driven down into……and we see who it is.
The ICON Champion Jatt Starr.
Lee Best: You see Jatt was part of the first Best Alliance and he will be part of the final Best Alliance here in High Octane Wrestling and he has been in some of the most famous ICON Title matches in history….and with Max out of the picture it only makes sense that once again Jatt returns to my side and joins my Son and Jace in the final Best Alliance heading into ICONIC.
The final image we see is of Jatt Starr standing tall over Shane Reynolds with the ICON Championship dripping with Shanes blood.
Benny Newell: Where the fuck did the final commercial break go?!
Joe Hoffman: I guess our backstage production crew was just so excited to see this match, they said screw the last break.
