The camera comes back to the ringside area here in Oklahoma City. The fans are still buzzing after the show kicked off with the announcement made by the creator, the GOD of High Octane Wrestling known as Lee Best. The camera pans around the arena where the fans are standing on their feet and waving their signs in the air. The camera comes to a rest at the announcer’s table where the Hall of Fame duo of Joe Hoffman and Benny Newell are ready to call tonight’s main event.
Joe Hoffman: Welcome back to Monday Night Mayhem ladies and gentlemen. I’m your host Joe Hoffman and as always I’m joined here by my broadcast partner Benny Newell. What a bombshell that was dropped earlier tonight huh Benny?
Benny Newell: God has spoken Joe and despite the demands of that traitorous fuck Jason P. Davidson War Games just got that much more explosive. Not only will it be Team Best Alliance vs. Team Hall of Fame but you add into the mix Team Lonesome Loser lead by Scott Stevens and now Team 4CW and every single one of them has the chance to walk out the HOW World Champion.
Joe Hoffman: Let’s not forget that the ICON Championship belt and the LSD Championship belts will also be on the line. So it’s not only Brian Hollywood that has a hell of a lot to lose heading into War Games. There is just no telling who will walk out of War Games with a title around their waists.
Benny Newell: But think about it Joe. One of those people could be Lee Best himself! Who will be competing as a part of Team Best Alliance just to take out that worthless fuck Davidson. We could see Lee Best walk out of War Games as the HOW World Champion! Goddamnit, my dick can only get so erect just thinking about it!
Joe Hoffman: Yes but tonight we still have our main event which originally was supposed to be a tag team match but once again Lee Best decided to switch things up. Instead of teaming with John Sektor tonight it will be HOW Hall of Famer Rhys Townsend going at it in a two on one handicapped match against both Scott Stevens and Jason P. Davidson.
Benny Newell: Clearly Lee has the ultimate faith that one of his Hall of Famers is more than enough to take out both Stevens and Davidson.
Joe Hoffman: Some if not all would call it punishment Benny but let’s toss it down to the ring where Bryan McVay is ready to make tonight’s introductions.
The camera pans from the announcer’s table over to the ring where Bryan McVay is standing in the center with his microphone in hand.
Bryan McVay: The following match is the main event of the evening and is scheduled for one fall to a finish!
The crowd cheers wildly but soon dies back down as McVay raises the microphone back up to his lips and points over towards the far corner.
Bryan McVay: Introducing first already in the ring… he is a member of the 2016 HOW Hall of Fame class and a former five time HOW World Champion… here is RHYS TOWNSENDDDDDD!!!!!!
The crowd gives a mixed reaction for Townsend who looks none too pleased over the piss poor introduction and treatment that he’s received here tonight.
Benny Newell: What kind of introduction is that for one of the newest HOW Hall of Famers and the leader of the Hall of Fame team at War Games?! He didn’t even get theme music! This is bullshit!
Joe Hoffman: I would tend to agree Benny but are you going to be the one to walk up and say that to Lee Best’s face knowing the mood he’s in tonight?
Benny Newell: …On second thought just be happy you’re getting paid dickhead and you better win too!
Bryan McVay: And his opponents…
The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area as the angelic voice of Lauryn Hill serenades the live crowd.
“Ready or not, here I come, you can’t hide Gonna find you and take it slowly Ready or not, here I come, you can’t
hide Gonna find you and make you want me”
Bryan McVay: He is a two-time High Octane Wrestling World Champion, representing the Great State of Texas, weighing in at 256lbs…HE IS…SCOTT! STEEEEEEE-VENNNNNNS!
The video screen lights up and a Texas flag flashes across the screen with the words, “Texas Born. Texas Bred. Texas Forever” branded into the flag. The crowd reaction is mixed, but there are more cheers than boos, as “Ready or Not” by Fugees plays throughout the PA system. As the chorus begins to fade there is one final image that is displayed across the screen and that message reads in bold, capitalized letters…..S-C-O-T-T. S-T-E-V-E-N-S. as “Hellraiser” by Motorhead begins to play. The cheers intensify as the chorus hits the speakers, drawing out the man from Texas.
Joe Hoffman: Just when you thought this would be an odd pairing Scott Stevens goes and shows up to last Wednesday’s edition of Adrenaline and helped the team of Ascended Supremacy defeat HOW World Champion Brian Hollywood and his partner Jace Savage to capture the 4CW World Tag Team Championship belts.
Benny Newell: Stevens will do anything he can to get his hands on Brian Hollywood and the HOW World Championship belt. Even if it means teaming up at War Games with Hollywood’s former life partner Darin ‘I do backstage interviews for World title matches’ Zion.
Walking down the aisle, Stevens fists bumps some of his fans while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares out into the crowd. Stevens gives them a nod and jumps down to the mat and warms up.
Bryan McVay: And his partner….
The lights in the arena go completely black as the sound of the opening guitar riffs of “Hail To The King” by Avenged Sevenfold begin to play. A single spotlight shines on the stage.
Bryan McVay: From Miami, Florida weighing in tonight at two hundred and forty-two pounds.. standing at six foot three inches tall…
Smoke fills the stage as a medieval throne rises to the center of the stage. Usually seated on the throne is Jason P. Davidson in a fur cape and crown upon his head but Davidson is nowhere to be found. A loud chorus of boo’s is heard before the lights in the arena go completely black again.
“Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head
Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid
Children roam the streets, now orphans of war
Bodies hanging in the streets to adore”
The lights in the arena come back on and flames explode from either side of the stage but there is still no sign of Davidson whatsoever as inside of the ring Stevens begins looking around wondering just what the hell is going on.
“Royal flames will carve a path in chaos,
Bringing daylight to the night
Death is riding into town with armor,
They’ve come to take all your rights”
POWERS: “He is the Conqueror… Wrestling’s one true Royalty… the King of Everything… Here is JASON P. DDAAVVIIDDSSOONN!!!”
The camera pans around the arena looking for any sign of Davidson but it’s like he’s not even in the building as his music continues to play. Stevens makes his way over towards McVay and begins complaining but McVay just shrugs his shoulders.
“Hail to the king, hail to the one
Kneel to the crown, stand in the sun
Hail to the king
Hail!
Hail!
Hail!
The King…”
Joe Hoffman: From a tag team match to a handicapped match and now when it’s time for the match to happen Jason P. Davidson is nowhere to be found? Have we checked back in the locker room? Maybe he was attacked on his way out here to the ring.
Benny Newell: There is no need to check backstage, isn’t it obvious Joe? The moment Lee Best came out here earlier and laid down the laid Davidson tucked his tail between his legs and he ran away. That’s what 4CW does and this year is going to be no different! DRINK!!!
Townsend gets tired of waiting races across the ring and hits Stevens with a clothesline to the back of the head that sends him down to the canvas hard. McVay exits the ring as referee Matt Boettcher calls for the bell to signal the start of this now one on one match.
DING DING!!!
With Stevens already down Townsend grabs a hold of the top rope and begins unleashing a furious amount of stomps to the head and chest of the former member of Ground Zero in Stevens. Townsend walks away from Stevens and taunts the crowd who boo’s loudly over the underhanded tactics used by Townsend. Stevens reaches out and grabs a hold of the ropes using them to try and pull himself up to his feet but Townsend turns back around. Townsend charges and levels Stevens with a big boot to the face that sends him crashing back down to the canvas hard. Townsend reaches down and grabs a hold of Stevens pulling him back up to his feet. Townsend fires a big right hand that rocks Stevens backwards then a connects with a couple of knife edged chops to the chest. Townsend grabs a hold of Stevens and whips him across the ring and into the turnbuckle spine first hard. Townsend gets a running start then barrels in and connects with a running clothesline crushing Stevens in the corner.
Joe Hoffman: It’s been all Townsend from even before the opening bell in this match. He walked into this match tonight thinking it would be two on one but the moment Davidson didn’t show up he had no problem getting the jump on Stevens from behind.
Benny Newell: Stevens is an idiot if he actually thought Davidson would come out here tonight and help him in this match. That was mistake #1 but then the big Texas dumbass decided to turn his back on a five time HOW World Champion like Townsend? This is why Stevens will forever be the lonesome loser.
Townsend backs away from the corner for a moment but only to bend over and begin laying in repeated shoulder blocks to the midsection of Scott Stevens who is trapped in the corner. Once satisfied Townsend grabs a hold of Stevens and whips across the ring back into the original corner on the far side of the ring spine first hard. Stevens hits the turnbuckle with a sickening thud as Townsend gets another running start. Townsend leaps into the air going for a big splash in the corner but Stevens moves away at the last moment causing Townsend to crash and burn against the turnbuckle. Townsend staggers backward out of the corner as Stevens comes up from behind and grips the waist lock. Stevens tries to muscle Townsend up and over with a German suplex but Townsend counters with repeated elbows to the side of the head that make Stevens lose his grip. Townsend grabs hold of Stevens and hits him with a t-bone suplex that sends him crashing up against the turnbuckle hard. Townsend drags Stevens out of the corner then hooks the leg and makes the cover as Boettcher slides in for the count.
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Stevens kicks out before the three count can be made!
Joe Hoffman: Vicious t-bone suplex by Townsend that send Stevens crashing up against the turnbuckle but it was only enough for a two count before Stevens was able to kick out. Townsend has never been able to beat Stevens in the past but tonight might be the night where all of that changes.
Benny Newell: Well of course since it’s not a PPV Townsend looks like a beast out here tonight. Stevens was looking to half ass this match thinking he’d have the advantage with Davidson in his corner but now he’s going to try and win this thing against an HOW Hall of Famer all on his own.
Townsend gets back up to his feet then grabs a hold of Stevens and pulls him back up to his feet. Townsend tosses Stevens over the top rope and down to the arena floor below. Townsend steps through the ropes then grabs a hold of Stevens and pulls him back up to his feet. Townsend goes to whip Stevens into the steel ring steps but Stevens reverses the whip and sends Townsend shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Townsend’s massive body knocks the steps right over as Stevens stalks his way over towards him. Stevens grabs a hold of Townsend and pulls him back up to a vertical base. Stevens gives Townsend a knee to the midsection then hits him with a side Russian leg sweep that bounces the back of his head off the steel barricade. Stevens gets back up to his feet then grabs a hold of Townsend and rolls him back into the ring. Stevens steps up to the ring apron then begins climbing the turnbuckle as Townsend struggles his way back up to a vertical base. Stevens perches himself on the top rope as Townsend gets back up to his feet. As Townsend turns around Stevens leaps off the top rope and hits Townsend with a missile dropkick that sends him crashing down to the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: This is the momentum shift that Stevens needs after it was all Townsend at the beginning of this match. Stevens got the advantage on the outside of the ring and now a missile dropkick from the top rope has him in control over Townsend.
Benny Newell: It’s not smart of Stevens to want to go power vs. power against someone like Townsend so it’s actually smart that he’s using his speed and high flying ability to his advantage. Townsend hasn’t been in the ring since God knows when so the ring rust has to be there.
Stevens gets back up to his feet then grabs a hold of Townsend and lifts him back up to a vertical base. Stevens snapmares Townsend down to the canvas then races towards the ropes. Stevens rebounds off the ropes and hits Townsend with a rolling neck snap that whiplashes him back down to the canvas. Stevens gets back up to his feet then grabs a hold of Townsend and lifts him back up to his feet. Stevens gives Townsend a boot to the midsection then whips into the turnbuckle spine first hard. Stevens gets a running start then leaps into the air and hits Townsend with a big stinger splash in the corner. Stevens backs away from the corner as Townsend slowly staggers away from the turnbuckle. Stevens catches Townsend and hits him with a Double S Spinebuster that plants him down in the center of the ring hard. Stevens gets back up to his feet then grabs a hold of Townsend by the legs and locks in the Arachnophobia in the center of the ring. Stevens rears back on the hold as Boettcher drops down and asks Townsend if he wants to give up.
Joe Hoffman: Stevens has it locked in the center the ring. He’s got the sharpshooter on Townsend and he’s trying to make the submission specialist tap out right here in the middle of the ring. What a win that would be for him and his team heading into War Games!
Benny Newell: There is no way Stevens is going to be able to make Rhys Townsend tap out here in the center of the ring. You don’t get to be an HOW Hall of Famer or a five time HOW World Champion by being tapped out by Scott fuckin’ Stevens in the middle of the ring the week before War Games!
Townsend screams no to Boettcher when asked if he wants to submit but Stevens keeps putting pressure on the hold. Townsend uses his strength to keep scratching and crawling back over towards the ropes. Townsend reaches out and finally grabs a hold of the bottom rope which forces Stevens to break the hold. Stevens holds his arms into the air thinking that he’s won the match but the referee tells him that Townsend reached the bottom rope. Stevens turns around and pushes Boettcher out of the way and begins stalking around Townsend who struggles to return to a vertical base. As Townsend gets up to his feet Stevens goes for the Toxic Sting but Townsend counters and pushes Stevens off into the ropes. Stevens rebounds off the ropes but Townsend rolls through and locks Stevens in the center of the ring with the single leg boston crab. Stevens begins screaming in pain as Boettcher drops down and asks if he wants to give it up.
Joe Hoffman: Now it’s Townsend with the submission hold right in the center of the ring! Townsend captured the HOW World Championship belt using this very move and now Stevens is caught in the center of the ring with nowhere to go! Will he tap out?!
Benny Newell: Of course he’s going to tap out. That’s Rhys Townsend he’s in the ring with right now. That’s the five time HOW World Champion and one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot inside of the ring. Once he has that move locked in there is no hope for escape!
Stevens tries to fight and claw his way over towards the ropes but Townsend just pulls him back to the center of the ring and sits back on the hold. Stevens clinches his fist and tries to fight the pain but it looks like he doesn’t have any other choice. However suddenly the sound of “Hail To The King” by Avenged Sevenfold fills the arena as the crowd stands on their feet.
Joe Hoffman: That’s Davidson’s music but is he actually here?!
The crowd begins booing loudly as Jason P. Davidson indeed strolls his way out on stage very non-chalantly. Jason looks none too pleased to be here as he slowly makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Townsend lets go of the single leg boston crab on Stevens and dares Davidson to get into the ring. Townsend cockily holds the ropes open for Davidson who instead leaps over the top rope and enters the ring. Tense fills the arena as Townsend and Davidson stand nose to nose in the middle of the ring exchanging heated words.
Benny Newell: What the hell is he doing out here? This match has nothing to do with him!
Joe Hoffman: He was supposed to be in this match the entire time!
Townsend has had enough of Davidson running his mouth and shoves him backwards. Townsend dares Davidson to do something but Davidson just smirks and leans back against the ropes. What Townsend doesn’t realize is that Stevens had gotten back up to his feet. Stevens spins Townsend around and….
Joe Hoffman: TOXIC STING!
Stevens plants Townsend in the center of the ring with his finisher. Townsend tries to struggle his way back up to his feet but Davidson charges and plants Townsend with Bow To The King in the center of the ring. Davidson turns around to make the cover but sees that Stevens is already on top of Townsend with the leg hooked as Boettcher makes the count.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!!!
Bryan McVay: Here are you winners… the team of Scott Stevens and Jason P. Davidsonnnnnnn!!!!!!!!
Stevens gets to his feet and celebrates but Davidson looks none too pleased as his so called partner. Stevens goes to congratulate Davidson but Davidson shoves Stevens backwards and the tension fills the ring again. Suddenly the lights go out. When they come back on both Davidson and Stevens are still in the ring but Davidson is joined by 4CW wrestlers Caleb Houston, Jair Hopkins, and Jason Cashe.
Joe Hoffman: What is this?! Caleb Houston we know is a member of Team 4CW but are you telling me that former 4CW Champions Jair Hopkins and Jason Cashe are also members of Team 4CW for War Games?!
Benny Newell: Stevens needs to get to hell out of the ring before he leaves Oklahoma on a stretcher!
Stevens holds up his hands and tries to talk sense into the members of Team 4CW like he’s a part of the crowd. However once again the lights in the arena go out. When they come back on everyone is still in the ring but someone is now standing behind Stevens.
Joe Hoffman: That’s Tara Davidson! She’s standing behind Stevens!
Benny Newell: Do you mean to tell me these fuckers have five members of their team and not just four?!
Tara unleashes a swift kick that catches Stevens below the belt and sends him crumbling down to the canvas in pain. Stevens struggles to pull himself back up to his feet but Tara charges and hits Stevens with the Goodnight Kiss right the center of the ring. Davidson points over at the fallen Townsend which causes Houston, Hopkins, and Cashe to go on the attack on the fallen HOW Hall of Famer. Team 4CW is dominant in the middle of the ring but suddenly the crowd begins cheering wildly.
Joe Hoffman: Here comes Team Stevens!
Zion comes racing down the ramp followed by Ryan McKenna with a couple of EPU members and behind them is Ray McAvay and his traveling circus who all rush the ring. The fight is on as the five members of Team 4CW take on the three members of Team Stevens and friends. But the madness is the ring doesn’t just stop there.
Benny Newell: Here come the Hall of Famer’s to help their Team Captain Townsend!
Scottywood and his barbwire hockey stick lead the charge for the Hall of Famers. Darkwing follows behind itching to get his hands on Davidson after the vicious attack a couple of weeks ago. And yes even Silent Witness is there upright and races towards the ring to enter the fight. All three teams begin to throw down in the center of the ring but you know the party wouldn’t be complete without all four teams being involved.
Joe Hoffman: There is John Sektor and Team Best Alliance!
Sektor looking to redeem himself leads Brian Hollywood, Electra, and Davld Black out onto the stage. Sektor points down to the chaos in the center of the ring but suddenly GOD himself Lee Best comes out on stage and stops his team before they head down to the ring.
Joe Hoffman: It looked like Sektor and Team Best Alliance was ready for a fight but Lee isn’t letting them come to the ring!
Benny Newell: God knows Best Joe. Lee doesn’t want any member of his team getting their hands dirty or injured before War Games. If the other idiots want to kill each other before we get to Rome then let them!
Lee stands on the stage in front of his Best Alliance team as Jason P. Davidson grabs a hold of McAvay’s strippers named Stormy and spears her through the steel barricade. Davidson gets up to his feet and notices Lee and the rest of Team Best Alliance standing on stage. Davidson dares Lee to come down the ramp along with his team and fight. An invitation gladly accepted by the Best Alliance team but Lee holds up his arms refusing to let anyone take another step. Davidson smiles and motions that he’s going to break Lee Best in half come War Games as Mayhem goes off the air.
Joe Hoffman: Welcome back to Monday Night Mayhem ladies and gentlemen. I’m your host Joe Hoffman and as always I’m joined here by my broadcast partner Benny Newell. What a bombshell that was dropped earlier tonight huh Benny?
