History
Biography: Colton Jacobs avoids discussing his personal life prior to moving to Liverpool, England in the fall of 2010. The next four and a half years were spent bartending during the day, while moonlighting as a bare knuckle fighter in the evening. His success in the back alley brawls led to his friend and employer at Thorpe's Pub, Stu Beckett, to reach out to North American wrestling promotions, seeking a better lifestyle and steady salary for Colt.
Having trained to become a professional wrestler prior to moving to Liverpool, the necessary skills were there, but it was Colt's drive that wasn't. Being the bastard child of the famous Jacob's clan soured his passion for the business, and he had no desire to be mentioned in the same breath as his biological relatives. It took a hard sell from Stu, but he was able to convince Colt of all that potentially awaited him in North America, but more importantly that he had the chance to rip his branch off the Jacob's family tree and cement his own legacy.
That is where the United Toughness Alliance entered the picture. Colt signed a non-guaranteed contract with the promotion, and relocated to Orlando, Florida: home of The Wrestlezone. Not wanting to compete under his birth surname, he elected to use Thorpe as a nod to the pub he worked at, as well lived above. While his signing drew criticism from the wrestling world, Colt proved naysayers wrong by winning the UTA Wildfire Championship on only his 85th day in the company.
The future certainly looks bright for this brash superstar, and he is well on his way to creating his own long lasting legacy in the wrestling world.

Strengths: Striking: Colton began brawling on the underground fighting scene in Liverpool, England at the age of twenty three. This fighting style has translated into the ring, with his biggest strength being his striking ability. From variations of punches, kicks, elbows, running attacks, he is a stiff striker who's goal with every attack is to inflict as much damage as possible.
Creativity: Never one to shy away from the dirty elements of a fight, he can be quite creative when it comes to the use of cheating and weapons. He finds excitement and pleasure in bending the rules and seeing how far he can go, and how much he can get away with. There will be points in a match where he will begin to view his own body as a weapon, and launch his weight in multiple variations at his opponent creating vicious collisions.
Tough As Nails: He can withstand the assault of any type of competitor and find a way to stay offensively involved in the fight. He has a high threshold for pain, and almost an enjoyment for it. It is this "tough as they come" style and mentality that can frustrate and throw opponents off their game.
Weaknesses: Not Technically Sound: By all means he can carry himself in the ring as a wrestler, but comes off as more of a fighter. Not a student of the game, you won't see a wide variety of wrestling suplexes or holds, meaning his reversal ability for such maneuvers is limited. Technical contests can frustrate him, which will bleed into his next two weaknesses...
Temper: There is a fine line between his creativity in cheating and his temper. He will cross that line from time to time, not even trying to hide his malicious intentions towards an opponent. It is these moments that will lead to disqualifications or worse in some cases.
Pride: His "tough as they come" mentality can be his ultimate weakness at times. The idea of living to fight another day is non existent, meaning he enters every match as if it is his last. His fighting style takes a physical toll on himself, though he refuses to show it. He would much rather a referee stop the match than ever tap to a submission or show that he couldn't physically continue.
Entrance Music: "Monster" Skillet
Ring Entrances: “Monster” by Skillet begins to play over the arenas sound system as the UTA fans immediately begin with the boos and jeers. As the instrumental beginning merges into the opening lyrics, Colton Thorpe backs out from the curtain with his head slightly cocked. He slowly turns, facing the audience with an unimpressed expression.

Announcer: Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio...
Thorpe saunters down the entrance ramp, looking out into the mass of people as the red and white strobe lighting lights the rampway. His appearance is disheveled: Hair is unkempt, soaked with water dripping down his face. Sporting a black jacket which has the left sleeve torn off, the initials “CT” appear to be spray painted onto the left breast pocket. His walk is slower, and is constantly adjusting his neck and rolling his shoulders.
Announcer: Standing at 6'3” and weighing in at 228 lbs...
Thorpe walks around towards the left side of the ring with a lack of acknowledgement for the ringside fans. What a few weeks ago was near silence for the newcomer has quickly evolved into a healthy hate from the fans in attendance. He climbs up the onto the apron, taking off his jacket before tossing it onto the floor outside the ring.

Hearing his name brings the slightest of a smirk to his face, but very little emotion is shown. He splits the ropes into the ring and begins to pace back and forth, throwing phantom punches as a type of pre fight/match routine. He adjusts to the center of the ring bouncing up and down, shifting his weight from left to right.
