Biography:
The daughter of famed Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and pro-wrestler, Anderson Royce Barbosa. Lisa was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She lost her mother shortly before her third birthday which caused her and her father to move to Canada escape the violence and jumpstart his career in professional wrestling. The death of her mother impacted her childhood and shaped her life going forward. Described by her teachers as “aggressive” and “short tempered”, growing up wasn’t easy for Lisa. At the behest of her father, in an effort to curb her rebellious, disrespectful behavior, Lisa was enrolled as in her father's jiu-jitsu school in British Columbia at the age of 9, earning her 3rd degree black belt at the age of 16. Instead of finding an inner peace through her training, Lisa seemed fueled by her short temper and inherent aggressiveness. Her inner anger helped her storm through tournaments in both Canada and the United States, where her father did his primary wrestling in the territories after she had reached the age of adulthood.
Lisa eventually packed her bags and headed to the United States, paid for by her father, who had been recuperating after a vicious feud with Cary Stevens that left him out of action for months with a fractured clavicle and larynx, on the thought that she would open up a school in the states and continue the tradition of Barbosa jiu-jitsu. However, having never truly outgrown her rebellious streak and the injury to her father, Lisa ditched the idea of of opening her own school and headed straight into the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Working at a gym in Las Vegas and taking on cornerman duties in exchange for her training, Lisa began to study the art of Olympic style wrestling in an effort to further her craft. While her short temper and disrespectful attitude had shunned her from her peers in the world of jiu-jitsu, her attitude was beneficial within the cage. After racking up a small but impressive undefeated streak in local amateur circuits, she was called to Japan as a key performer for LOTUS FC, an up and coming Mixed Martial Arts organization.
Suddenly, at the height of her MMA career, Lisa dropped off the professional circuit. Rumors ran rampant that she had been ejected from the sport, while others insisted that a disagreement with a promoter over a fight purse had escalated and gone terrible awry. In any case, at the age of 22, Lisa returned to the United States and enrolled in San Antonio's famed The Bar of Professional Wrestling Academy of the Stevens Family, training under a false identity because her last name would be a dead giveaway of who she is, learning the craft of professional wrestling and maybe exact revenge against them for hurting her father.

Manager:
Wrestling Style: MMA/Brazilian jiu-jitsu
Strengths:
-3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Expert thrower, which has transitioned well into professional wrestling in the form of both MMA style moves, and traditional wrestling moves, like suplexes.
-Submission Specialist. Able to lock in a submission hold from nearly any angle, and with any variation. This applies to improvised submissions as well, in the spirit of her training in jiu-jitsu.
-Tenacious spirit. Her bad attitude and fierce work ethic make for a dangerous pair when she's in the ring and on her game.
-Absolutely fearless. This is equally a weakness, as she refuses to admit or realize when she is outmatched. She will never back down, beg off, or run away while in the confines of a match.
Weaknesses:
-Relatively inexperienced. While she's had a storied combat sports career, Lisa has only had a handful of pro wrestling matches under her belt despite her father's and husband's legendary wrestling careers.
-Overly cocky. Undefeated as an MMA fighter and in jiu-jitsu grappling/submission tournaments, and equally as successful in her first few months as a professional wrestler, she has never truly been tested in a fight. She could easily misstep or underestimate an opponent of her own skill level or better.
-Poor sportsmanship. Known to be exceptionally rough on her opponents, often cheap shotting after a victory. Doesn't like to let go of her submissions after a ropebreak or even a tap out, and only when faced with a disqualification or a decision reversal will she let go of a hold when she's on a mean streak. Her attitude gets her into hot water more than it has ever benefited her, both in life and in athletics.
-Prior injury. Though not serious, a knee injury took Lisa out of action at the height of her undefeated streak in MVW. Proper rehabilitation and time have healed her up, but it's a lot easier to aggravate an old injury than sustain a new one.
-Fast paced. Though sometimes a strength against a sloppy or sluggish opponent, more often than not this is a hindrance. Lisa has not yet learned how to slow down the pace of a match. It's easy to make a mistake when you don't stop to think or be strategic.
