WRESTLEFEST CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
SEMIFINAL MATCH
BRAD JACKSON vs. SCOTT STEVENS
Kaycee Jay – Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is a Semifinal of the WrestleFest Championship Tournament scheduled for one-fall with a fifteen-minute time limit!
The lights dim, heavy mist filling the ramp as strobe lights begin to pulse slowly. A steady bass throb begins, growing in volume, sounding much like a heartbeat. A single gunshot shatters the silence, followed by mocking laughter and Jackson's voice hurling insults before the music skips, and then the sounds of "Lies" by Evanescence filters through the speakers. Dark red strobes pulsate on the entranceway; illuminated in the shadows by a shower of red pyrotechnics is the unmistakable, heavily tattooed silhouette of a man.
“Bound at every limb by my shackles of fear
Sealed with lies through so many tears
Lost from within, pursuing the end
I fight for the chance to be lied to again”
The screen crackles to life, showing heavy static that gradually fades to black. Blood drips down from the top of the screen, forming words: 'Fear The Darkness' - 'Fear The Unknown' - 'Fear ME!'
“You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above”
Jackson stalks down the ramp with his baseball bat in hand, pausing at ringside where his wife is seated in the front row. He leans over the barrier and kisses her before circling the ring once. Pulling himself up on the apron, he glares out at the crowd, holding his bat aloft to huge heat before stepping between the ropes. Alyvia flashes her husband a devilish smile, puts her hand to her lips, and mimes blowing Jackson a kiss for luck. He snatches it from the air and mimes placing it in his pocket before stalking towards the center of the ring. Jackson stands there, his head thrown back in a triumphant roar as the music comes to a grinding halt, cut off with a squeal of feedback.
Kaycee Jay – Currently in the ring to my left, he defeated Chance Von Crank to advance into this semifinal match, this is BRAD JACKSON!
The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out "The Venomous One." Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down at the crown, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.
Kaycee Jay – Now, on my right, he defeated Landon Divine to advance from the quarterfinal matches, “SCORPION” SCOTT STEVENS!
Austin McGreghor – With the introductions out of the way and Official Ace Tanner is having checked both competitors over, they are getting their final instructions from the referee.
Ernie Turner – And there’s the bell!
Jackson immediately senses the distress that Stevens is attempting to cover for and goes right to work on his knee, ducking a tie up and kicking Stevens in the back of the knee; once, twice and a third time, with authority, kicking the wheel out from under his opponent. Stevens rolls to the ropes and Jackson wraps his opponent’s leg around the bottom rope, using it to add pressure. Jackson holds on, placing his own foot on the rope to apply more pressure to the wrapped knee. Tanner gets a four-count before Jackson releases and stomps the knee twice. Using the top rope for leverage, Jackson pushes himself into the air and drops his own knee down across Stevens’ left knee. Jackson drags Stevens out to the middle of the ring by his left leg and then cranks it as if he was apply an arm wrench to Stevens’ left leg.
Austin McGreghor – Landon Divine has presented Brad Jackson a weak spot in Scott Stevens here!
Ernie Turner – And look at the #damage being inflicted!
Jackson slaps Stevens across the face twice before stomping his knee. Jackson picks Stevens up and punches him in the mouth. Pushing Stevens against the ropes on the right, Jackson goes to launch Stevens across, but it’s reversed and Jackson goes to the ropes on the left. On the return, Stevens catches Jackson with a hip toss that he converts on the way down into an arm bar. Arching back, Stevens applies pressure, but Jackson is very aware of his position and quickly gets to the ropes. Tanner demands the hold be broken, but Stevens keeps it locked on through the four-count.
Austin McGreghor- Stevens clearly hurting, but nowhere near done in this match!
Ernie Turner – Oh no, it’s much too early for that. These two are going to beat each other up before this one is done. Both men are up and as Stevens goes for a lariat, Jackson drops and clips the front of Stevens’ left knee. Jackson pulls Stevens up and fires a stiff right into his mouth. Stevens responds with a wild right to the side of Jackson’s head. Another trade of the exact same blows before Stevens snatches Jackson by the back of the neck and dumps him out, through the ropes.
1 …
Ernie Turner – This is where Scott Stevens needs to take a page out of the Michaels playboo… well, never mind…
Stevens exits the ring restarting the count.
1 …
Austin McGreghor – Maybe you should have huddled with him before the match.
2 … …
Stevens snatches Jackson up and drags him along the ring barrier to the farthest corner and bounces his face off of the top of the barrier.
3 … … …
Stevens goes to whip Jackson into the ring post, but is reversed and Stevens is hurled into the unforgiving steel.
4 … … … …
5 … … … … …
Jackson picks Stevens up and drags him around the ring.
6 … … … … … …
7 … … … … … … …
Halfway around the ring, Jackson tosses Stevens in under the bottom rope, but continues around the ring returning to where he had originally exited. Meanwhile, Stevens had rolled back out, under the bottom rope to the apron. Jackson crosses the ring, at full speed, suddenly dropping to baseball slide kick Stevens off of the apron. The count starts again as Jackson plays it smart and paces in the ring behind Tanner.
1 …
Ernie Turner – A win by any means at this point.
2 … …
Austin McGreghor – Right now it’s about however you can get into the final!
3 … … …
Austin McGreghor – Stevens has to beat this ten-count to have a chance at the final.
4 … … … …
Ernie Turner – I really don’t see how that would be all that difficult! I’ve counted to ten three times already and this goof ball is at 4?!
5 … … … … …
Stevens crawls to the ring and pulls himself up onto the apron. He rolls in under the bottom rope and Jackson is waiting. Jackson pulls Stevens to his feet and pushes him off of the ropes to whip him across the ring. Stevens reverses and Jackson goes across the ring. Stevens ducks a clothesline and comes off of the far ropes; LOUTHESZ PRESS! Stevens smashes his own knee against the mat with the move and cannot capitalize, rolling away from Jackson clutching at the knee. Jackson gets up with an ear-to-ear grin, nodding his head as he stalks the writhing opponent. Pointing down at Stevens, Jackson mocks his opponent, grabbing at his own knee and making a big “cry baby” face.
Ernie Turner – Look at the confidence, Brad Jackson has this one in the bag!
Jackson snatches Stevens’ left ankle and shows him his elbow, “I’m going to hit you with this, right here!” Jackson drops the elbow onto Stevens’ knee and then wraps his leg up to drop some heavy bombs right on the side of the wrapped knee. Stevens tries everything to get free, slapping Jackson in the back of the head, fruitlessly reaching for a head lock, ringing his ears and then driving a thumb into his temple. None of it works as Jackson cinches the leg scissors around Stevens’ ankle and continues to pummel the knee. With a HUGE smile, he releases the hold, but not the ankle, dragging Stevens out to the center of the ring. Jackson wrenches the leg hard before tying on a figure-four in the center of the ring.
Ernie Turner – He’s got it cinched in tight!
Austin McGreghor – Right in the center of the ring!
Ernie Turner – Stevens is NO WHERE near the ropes!
Austin McGreghor – He is in double trouble here as he falls back to the mat!
1 … Tanner begins to count Stevens shoulders down.
2 … … Stevens sits back up!
Jackson paintbrushes Stevens over the painful lock and Stevens fires back damned near knocking the taste out of Jackson’s mouth. Another very vicious left to the side of Jackson’s head sends spit and fluids across the ring. Somehow, from way deep inside his intestinal fortitude, Stevens begins pulling he and Jackson across the ring, pushing against the mat with his hands. Stevens falls backward and stretches as far as he can stretch to grab the bottom rope on the left side. Jackson maintains control, releasing the hold, but not the ankle. Jackson holds Stevens’ foot high above him and then punches down into the inside of Stevens’ knee. Further racking pain on the inside of the knee, Jackson plants his own knee to the inside of Stevens’ knee. Then, Jackson pulls the kneepad and wrap off of Stevens’ knee exposing it. Holding Stevens leg against the mat, a hand on his ankle and a hand on his thigh, Jackson viciously bangs his head against the injured wheel, busting his own head open in the process.
Ernie Turner – Okay, Jackson has lost it!
Jackson continues the punishment, jerking Stevens up and pushing him into the far left corner. Jackson fires one, two and then three big right hay makers into Stevens’ jaw before wrapping Stevens’ arms under the ropes and firing a chop across the top of Stevens’ chest. Jackson whips Stevens and Stevens reverses, sending Jackson to the opposite corner. Jackson it’s the corner hard and stumbles out, Stevens rolling through Jackson’s legs, transitioning a Boston crab setup into a STF! Jackson reaches for the bottom rope, but is just inches and cannot get to it. As Jackson yells out in agony, Stevens roars above, cinching the hold in tight as he wrenches Jackson’s neck back hard. Unable to crawl forward to reach the ropes in front of him, Jackson attempts to slide to the side to reach the near ropes.
Ernie Turner – Come on ref, break the hold, he’s got the bottom rope!
Stevens has to break the hold at a count of four, but doesn’t let up. Shoving Jackson back into the near left corner, Stevens fires a chop of his own. Stevens hushes the crowd before firing a second and then a third chest stinging chop! Stevens rockets Jackson across the ring to the opposite corner and follows up with a back elbow. Stevens staggers out of the corner, favoring the knee and turns around into a lariat from Jackson as he runs from the far right corner. Back in control, Jackson snatches the ankle and fires off a clinched right. Tanner advises him to open the hand when striking. Jackson backs the official up into the corner with his own advisement to call the match and mind his own. Another shot to the knee and Stevens rolls then crawls to the ropes on the right.
Ernie Turner – Ace Jackson just needs to count pins and call submissions here.
Austin McGreghor – The match has to be fair, but I agree with you. I wouldn’t step between neither of these men.
Jackson assists Stevens to his feet and then shoves him back into the far right corner. Two rights to the jaw before Jackson sends Stevens bumbling across the ring into the opposite corner. Jackson rushes in with a crushing lariat that Stevens dodges. While Jackson rubs the collision out of his chest, Stevens uses the near ropes to go to the next corner. Jackson rushes in once more, taking a heaping helping of Stevens’ back elbow. Jackson clutches his chin as he circles out to the center of the ring, as he comes back around Stevens blasts from the corner turning Jackson inside out with a clothesline.
Ernie Turner – A very POWERFUL limping clothesline!
As if on instinct alone, Jackson is back up and taking one hard right after another in the center of the ring. Stevens lands heavy blows knocking Jackson around until he has them against the ropes. Clubbing forearms to the back and shoulders as Stevens continues to beat Jackson around the ring. Jackson goes to the near right corner and Stevens light him up again with a knife-edge chop. Jackson continues down the ropes on the right side, but Stevens goes for an Irish whip. Jackson reverses and Stevens ducks a clothesline slipping behind Jackson, Stevens open palm slaps Jackson between the shoulder blades. Stevens goes for the TOXIC STING, but Jackson escapes pushing Stevens away and then powders to the outside.
Austin McGreghor – Very wise ring awareness there.
Stevens approaches the ropes where Jackson went out and Jackson reaches in and trips him up. Jackson pulls Stevens legs out over the apron and bangs the injured knee down against the edge. Jackson goes to collect his bat and walks completely around the ring bad mouthing the fans in the front row as Stevens continues to grasp his knee on the floor on the outside. After a quick kiss from his wife, Jackson returns to where he had originally exited the ring and picks Stevens up. Jackson uses the bat, striking Steven’s knee with it and taking him off of his feet. Jackson picks Stevens up again and rolls him into the ring. Jackson enters, bat in hand. Tanner steps between Jackson and Stevens demanding that Jackson either hand him or drop the bat. Jackson again shoves the referee into the corner, threatening him with the bat. From behind, Stevens is back up and spins Jackson around into the TOXIC STING! A quick cover!
1 …
Ernie Turner – There’s no way!
2 … …
Austin McGreghor – What shape will he be in for the final here?
3 … … …
Kaycee Jay – The winner of this match and the first man to advance into the final to compete for the TRUE Wrestling Championship of the World, “SCORPION” SCOTT STEVENS!
Stevens rolls out of the ring, leaving Jackson stunned on the mat on the inside. Hobbling around the ring he reaches in and snatches the baseball bat. He continues to limp, using the bat to help him around the ring as he attempts an over the top celebration comparable to his quarterfinal match, but the knee is definitely not allowing it. He makes his way around the ring to where Alyvia Jackson is seated in the front row.
Austin McGreghor – What is he going to do here? He needs to be very careful!
Stevens gets a hold of Alyvia’s arm and pulls her hard against the barrier. With a threatening tone and using the bat as intimidation, Stevens puckers up. Tanner dives out of the ring demanding that Stevens release the pregnant wife of his defeated opponent. Stevens punches the official with the bat packed fist, knocking Tanner out at ringside. Again, Stevens jerks Alyvia in close and plants a huge unwanted kiss right on her lips before shoving her back down into her seat.
Ernie Turner – He’s kissed Lucy, now Alyvia…
Austin McGreghor – Despicable! Scott Stevens has kissed both of those women against their will.
Stevens tosses the bat back up into the ring and hobbles up the ramp shouting, “ONE MORE!”
Austin McGreghor – Stevens has one more match, could this vile human being become the first TRUE Wrestling Champion of the World?
Ernie Turner – Yes! Just like I said he would; from the very beginning. Learn to listen and agree with me McG!
Austin McGreghor – He’s going to have quite a challenge ahead of him as he is going to face either Mark Devereaux or Justin Michaels.
Ernie Turner – Should it be Michaels, Lindsay better be ready to pucker up!
Austin McGreghor – I didn’t think you would just sit here and allow something like that to happen.
Ernie Turner – What reason would I have to get involved should Scott Stevens want to kiss Lindsay MICHAELS?!
Austin McGreghor – What a stand-up guy you are Ernie.
Ernie Turner – How about, IF it happens, you get in there and stop him. I mean, Stormm still has to get past the Working Class Warrior to even make that a possibility.
Austin McGreghor – The ring crew, officials and medical staff are cleaning up the ring and ringside area here as Brad Jackson checks on his wife, he is now the first man booked into the big three-way elimination match in two weeks at Adrenaline.
Ernie Turner – Whoever is eliminated from this next match will be booked in that triple threat as well while the winner moves onto the final to face Scott Stevens for the World title!
