"The Marquee" Mason Grant (w/ Emmy) vs. "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens
A short video package is played, highlighting the feud between "The Marquee" Mason Grant and "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens. As the video fades out we cut back to the arena. The lights dim, with a lone silver spotlight at the top of the entrance way. The voice of Emilio Estevez from Young Guns can be heard through the speakers, announcing his famous line "I'll make you famous ..." As the line ends, yellow strobes light up the ramp, and "Famous" by Puddle of Mudd begins to play.
Roth: Coming to the ring at this time, accompanied by Emmy, standing 6 feet 1 inch and weighing in at 232 pounds; fighting out of Hollywood, California..."The Marquee"...MASON GRANT!
"The Marquee" Mason Grant steps out from behind the curtain, adorned in his wrestling gear, a pair of dark sunglasses, and his personalized t-shirt, which reads the famed Young Guns quote. Behind him, in a classy business outfit, steps Emmy, sauntering her hips, as she follows two steps behind her client.
Grant walks down the aisle, slapping hands with fans who reach out towards him. He stops near the ring, where he pulls a sharpie pen from his boot. With that confident smile across his face, Grant autograph's a poster for a young fan, before mussing their hair in a playful manner.
"The Marquee" then heads for the steps, slowly walking each one, as he soaks in the adoration of the fans, and once inside the ring, Grant struts over to the far left turnbuckle, and drapes himself across the top, as if he were resting in a hammock.
Ash: “The Marquee” Mason Grant looks ready to go.
Roth: And his opponent, standing in at 6 feet 6 inches, and weighing in at 256 pounds; fighting out of Houston, Texas… “The Scorpion” SCOTT STEVENS!
Stevens, who is already in the ring takes in a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Ash: Here we go folks. The winner of this match will wrestle later tonight for the Internet Championship.
Henson: I hope this match doesn’t put me to sleep.
Ash: You’ve been going on about this match all night…
Henson: I know. But I can see Stevens putting on such a clinic that it gets boring.
The two men lock up with Grant getting the advantage with a knee to the ribcage of Stevens. . Mason puts his knee to the gut of Scott repeatedly until he falls to the mat. “The Marquee” waits for his opponent to get back to his feet. Once Stevens is on his feet, Grant charges his opponent and knocks him down with a shoulder block. He goes for a quick pin!

…KICKOUT!
Ash: Grant tried to end this match fast.
Henson: He should have known he wasn’t going to win off of a shoulder block!
Grant gets to his feet and pulls Stevens up by the hair. Grant engages his opponent in a grapple only to send him crashing to the mat seconds later with a DDT. He goes for the pin again!

…KICKOUT!
Ash: That was close! Mason Grant almost walked out of here with the victory.
Henson: That was not close…Stevens was just playing with him.
Ash: You must be blind!
Henson: On the contrary my friend, I eat my carrots.
Grant gets to his feet and hovers over “The Scorpion” as he begins to move. Looking to build on his momentum Grant doesn’t waste any more time and grabs Stevens by the head to bring him to his feet. However “The Scorpion” has other plans as he lands a low blow to the groin of Mason Grant, sending the man to the mat yelling in pain.
Henson: Now that’s what I call wrestling!
Ash: You’re repulsive!
Henson: Yeah, that’s what your momma told me last night!
Stevens spends his time recuperating while Grant finally makes it to his feet, still in pain from the cheap shot. The two men lock up in the middle of the ring with Grant pushing Stevens into the corner. Regaining some lost momentum, Grant begins a combination of knife edged chops and forearm shivers, which keeps the Scorpion pinned in the corner. Unwilling to give up this advantage, Grant continues to
fire, alternating between the crisp thunder of the open hand and the lightning quick forearm to the jaw, until referee Jerry Timms wedges himself between the two foes. Bent over, and forcing all of his weight
into the gut of “The Marquee”, Timms is unaware when Stevens catches Mason Grant in the throat with his scissored hands.
Ash: Ouch! Looks like that cheap shot from Stevens hurt.
Henson: He’s supposed to be a man, he will be alright!
Grant collapses to the canvas, but instead of capitalizing on the advantage that he has The Scorpion
decides to instead head outside of the ring.
Henson: What is he doing?! Come on Stevens, finish him!
Ash: Mason Grant looks to be in a lot of pain. He is holding onto his neck.
Stevens begins advancing towards Emmy, his face a visage of predatory lust. As he steps ever closer, the now stirring Mason Grant notices and while still holding his throat and coughing in the center of the
ring, a second wind seems to kick in. Just as Stevens reaches out, brushing Emmy’s silky blonde hair behind her ear, The Marquee reaches through the top and middle rope, desperately grasping at the Venomous One. Unable to grab anything concrete, however, Grant has only left himself open, as Stevens pivots just enough to hook Mason Grant around the head, and hit the Toxic Sting, rattling Grant’s jaw against his own shoulder, and slingshotting the injured neck across the middle
rope.
Henson: Now that was a nice move! Stevens should go ahead and pin Grant and then take his woman.
Ash: You’re so insincere! The man is injured and “The Scorpion” continues to attack the injury. That is dirty!
Henson: Trust me, that’s not dirty. I can show you dirty.
Ash: I will pass.
After blowing one last kiss towards Em, Scott Stevens slithers into the ring, but before he can make the cover, Timms steps in front of him, waving his arms, and pushing Stevens back towards the corner. As the Vile One steps back to his neutral position, Timms refocuses on The Marquee, who continues to clutch at his throat, and roll awkwardly back and forth on the canvas. It doesn’t take long for Timms to make his call, waving for the bell to sound, and motioning for the medical team to come out.
Henson: Are you serious?!?! This isn’t boxing! This is wrestling; the referee can’t call the match!
Ash: Have some compassion man! Grant could be seriously injured!
Henson: Well he doesn’t belong in the ring if he can’t handle it.
Ash: Whatever!
After the bell has rung, the referee continues to check on Grant’s condition, as he curls up in the fetal position, clutching at his throat.
Roth: The winner of the match by way of referee stoppage…”The Scorpion”…SCOTT STEVENS!
The medical crew rushes down the ramp way wheeling a stretcher in tow. Meanwhile, seemingly unsatisfied with his victory, the Scorpion heads over to the corner where he reaches through the ropes and beckons for a microphone.
Scorpion: Get this piece of trash out of my ring.
Scorpion watches as the medical team strap down Mason Grant to the stretcher but they don’t do it fast enough to Scorpion’s liking.
Scorpion: I said.......
Scorpion drops the microphone, goes over to Mason Grant and pushes away the medical personnel and punches the referees trying to stop him. Scorpion picks up the stretcher and places it right side up against the ropes threatening to flip the stretcher over. Emmy comes into the ring and starts begging, but he signals for her to beg on her knees. He mouths to Emmy that’s not enough and motions for her to give him a kiss. Emmy shakes her head no, but he threatens to flip the stretcher. Emmy motions for him to stop and she gets up and gives Scorpion a kiss on the cheek. As she turns away Scorpion grabs her face and plants a kiss right on her lips. Emmy fights it off and falls to the mat wiping her now tainted lips. Scorpion mouths thank you and acts like he is going to leave but flips over the stretcher and Mason Grant goes crashing down to the floor as the medical team rush out to check on “The Marquee.” Scorpion just laughs at the site while Emmy is screaming at him and crying at the same time. Scorpion goes over and picks up the microphone.
Ash: Who in the hell does guy think he is!? Where is security!
Henson: Now this is fun to watch!
Scorpion: I told ya’ll to get that piece of trash out of my ring.
Scorpion walks over to the ropes and looks down at Mason Grant's fallen and prone body.
Scorpion: Mason you brought this all upon yourself. I told you this would be your fate for dissing me the way you did. You actually thought you could come in here and become the face of LPW and just be handed a main event spot without paying your dues? I don’t think so! I just proved to you, and the rest of the curtain jerkers in the back of where you belong in this company and that is at the bottom looking up at me. Not only did I beat you, I made you forfeit. That should solidify the proof to that idiot owner of ours that you don’t belong in the main event much less in the same ring as me. Mason, while you are in the hospital thinking, no wishing, you never should have made an enemy of me just know we are done. I told you since the beginning you weren’t in my league and that I would end your career if you pursued this and you’re barely alive as a result. Your fate should also be a warning to that slapnut Shayne Adams. You say I’m next? If you were wise you would reconsider. Mason, when you wake up in a few days, talk to your buddy to save him the same fate as you because as far as I’m concerned the Scorpion versus Rookie feud is over. However, the Scorpion versus Hot Blonde feud continues tonight in my hotel room.
Scorpion laughs and drops the microphone to the canvas. Scorpion goes over to Emmy, who is still sitting and crying on the mat, and raises her face. We can see the hatred burning in her face as Scorpion looks at her. Scorpion does the throat slash gesture and mouths Mason’s done. Emmy jumps up and begins to claw Scorpion’s face. Scorpion finally gets her off and we see three scratch marks on Scorpion’s face begin to bleed. Scorpion feels on his cheek and sees the blood on his hands. He looks amused and licks the blood from his fingers. He walks back over to her again and she swings and he catches her hand, she swings with the other hand but it gets caught as well. Scorpion plants another kiss on her and lets her fall to the mat. Scorpion winks at her and mouths “See you later tonight baby. Room 256”. Scorpion exits the ring and heads up the ramp. Emmy dashes out the ring and goes to check on Mason. Scorpion reaches the top of the ramp and turns around to pose and soak in all the mixed reaction from the Texas partisan audience.
Ash: The guy is sick!
Henson: I love it!
“Drop Tha World” by Lil’ Wayne blares all over the arena causing “The Scorpion” Scott Stevens to slowly walk backwards back down the ramp. Roscoe Shame appears at the top of the ramp way with a microphone in hand.
Shame: Well, well, well what do we have here… “The Scorpion” Scott Stevens.
Roscoe pauses as he takes his time walking down the ramp causing Stevens to continue backtracking.
Ash: Looks like Roscoe Shame has come to save the day!
Henson: No, he’s just putting his nose where it doesn’t belong.
Shame: You think you are some tough guy because you are sending somebody to the hospital? Trust me when I say you don’t scare anybody in the back…especially me! I’m going to make it clear right here and now, that Roscoe Shame is the only member of the LPW roster that everyone else should be afraid of. I am a force to be reckoned with and top of that I now have nothing to lose. You know what that means Scotty boy? That means I am going to be more ruthless than ever. That means every time I step in the ring I am looking to decapitate people. Roscoe Shame is here to rule Legacy Pro Wrestling and my taking the throne starts tonight by beating the shit out of you for the Internet Championship!
