“’Redneck’ Bill Dickinson has had a great 2023,” Thunderbolt said. “He is closing in on Charlie Blackwell’s 499-day record MVW title reign. He will have to get past Luke Woods next Sunday at Night of Champions and then either Scott Stevens or The Masked Texan next month at the St. Louis Supershow to break Blackwell’s record.”
Hall, a seasoned commentator, chimed in with his own analysis. “Let’s not forget that Scott Stevens is a High Octane Wrestling legend, with two MVW Men’s Heartland championship titles under his belt. He’s definitely not someone to be taken lightly, and I’m surprised we don’t see R.G. Jenkins or Mark Hendry by Dickinson’s side tonight.”
Thunderbolt nodded in agreement as they watched Stevens make his way to the ring, accompanied by his teammates R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry. Dickinson’s allies were noticeably absent, leaving him to face his opponent alone.
“Good point,” Thunderbolt concurred. “All right, here we go!”
“OH MY GOD! UPSET! SCOTT STEVENS HAS DEFEATED THE MVW CHAMPION!” Thunderbolt exclaimed as Dickinson was counted out. Stevens celebrated his victory, taunting Sunny O’Callahan who had been cheering on Dickinson at ringside. But the celebration was cut short as Jenkins and Hendry rushed into the ring to join their victorious teammate.
Hall offered some insight. “Stevens made an unexpected move – throwing Dickinson out of the ring and hitting him with his signature Toxic Sting move on the hard floor. George Stevens dropped an elbow and time ran out on the MVW champion.
Thunderbolt then revealed the lineup for Tuesday night’s Carmondy Cup finals on Wrestling Night in the Heartland- a highly anticipated match between Scott Stevens and The Masked Texan. “And as if that wasn’t enough,” he added with a hint of excitement, “Stevens will also be challenging Michael Lee Best for the HOW World Title tomorrow night.”
As the Stevens Dynasty continued to celebrate in the ring, Thunderbolt signed off with one final reminder. “Here’s the lineup for Tuesday night,” Thunderbolt says. “We will see you then.”
