Bath Salts by LL Cool J hits as James Ranger comes out, dressed for business as he adjusts the eye patch on his face. He grabs from behind his vest, a small mic as he picks seems to motion for the music to cut off while standing at the entrance ramp.
Ranger: Tonight....i don't have a match. Instead, I thought i take upon myself to talk to those here in attendance. I do that enough.
The fans murmur as James slowly walks to the left.
Ranger: Next week, i deal with a formidable opponent, potentially more dangerous than Darkwing...maybe more loveable than Scottywood, and more average than Max Kael. I'm talking about the one and only Christopher America.
The fans respond loudly to the name, a mixed reaction to which James smirks at.
Ranger: You could say i am rather envious of him...he was the man i could idolize, he didn't need anyone's help. He could wrestle the best, shake off, hit the showers, and come back to the ring the next week. He wasn't anyone's bitch the last time i was here. Then, he started to crave more than he should. He started to take the advantages offered by being apart of the Best Alliance, became a part owner of HOW, all while following the same routine. He never strayed too far from that work routine.
Ranger: You could say that he never gave up on himself despite forever adapting to the situation around him. I believe otherwise....I believe that come next week, I am gonna be looking into the eyes of a man i teamed up with for one night. I am gonna be looking into the eyes of a former HOW World Champion whose seen it all and done it all. Like most of the locker room in the back, has beaten the best and lived through dark shit that creeps around the psyche of individuals that compete day and night to make sure that Lee Best gets his money's worth out of them. I say them, cause I am not one of them.
Ranger: I am not one of the few, the proud that swagger down this ramp every week. I am not one of the finest that HOW has to offer. I am greatest that you...those in attendance tonight...has to offer. So come next week, America is coming down to earth off that damn pedestal. He's gonna taste what the asphalt, made in this country taste like. He's gonna have a bit of Benny's drink, made in this country. He's gonna plant his face onto the steel steps, that were made in this country.....and we're the three count is done...He's gonna be outsourced to the nearest brothel in the Pacific.
The crowd is buzzing with Ranger's confidence towards the HOW Hall of Famer as the announce crew move forward with the show...
Joe Hoffman: Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s been a hell of a night for the LBI and HOW and now we come to tonight’s Main Event! We have Chris Diamond in action against Scott Stevens in what can be considered a make or break match for either of these men looking forward in the LBI.
Benny Newell: You mean tonight is the night that Scott Stevens moves forward in the LBI while Diamond rots in the dust, Hoffman!
Joe Hoffman: Both Diamond and Stevens are incredible talents, Benny, either man could win tonight. I-
The lights in the arena cut out suddenly as Joe is cut off.
“NOTHING SURVIVES MY STING!”
The sound of Megadeath’s “The Scorpion” blasts over the P.A. system as the Townsend Theatre rumbles with the heavy bass of booing fans. Making his way out onto the stage with a swagger in his step, he regards the audience with a contemptible expression. Slowly making his way down to the ring, Stevens has a few choice words for some of the fans who return the favor.
Joe Hoffman: Steven’s certainly not making any friends here tonight in Montreal.
Benny Newell: So who gives a flying fuck!? Let me tell you something about making friends with fans, Hoffman.. DON’T! DRINK!
Steven’s slips into the ring and poses as his LBI Score of 3 Flashes up on the HOTv. He points at it and signals that three more will be added up as the house lights come back up. “Diamond Eyes” by Shinedown suddenly blasts over the P.A. system as Chris Diamond makes his way out onto the stage in an energetic manner! The fans change their tune from boos to cheers as the obvious fan favorite for this match stands on the stage and basks in the adulation.
Joe Hoffman: Well it’s pretty clear that the fans have chosen who they’ll be supporting in this bout.
Benny Newell: Yeah? And who gives a fuck? Nobody gives a fuck, least of all Stevens! The Best Alliance doesn’t need fans, it has Lee!
Diamond quickly heads down to the ring, slapping a few hands before he slides under the bottom rope and into the ring where he quickly runs toward the nearest turnbuckle. Stevens looks like he is going to rush him however referee Matt Boettcher quickly intercedes forcing him back into his own corner. Diamond looks back over his shoulder and points at Stevens before he tosses his visor into the audience, flipping off the turnbuckle and landing softly on his feet.
Benny Newell: It’s that kind of showboating that is going to cost Diamond the match! You don’t showboat as a Best Alliance member you little puke!
Joe Hoffman: Benny, I don’t know if you were paying attention or if you are simply too drunk to realize it but Stevens was going to try and jump Diamond from the back!
Benny Newell: That’s called tactics, Hoffman, look it up on Wikipedia!
Matt Boettcher preforms a quickly search on Stevens followed by a quick search on Diamond before he signals for the bell and the match is on!
DING DING DING!
The fans cheer as Stevens and Diamond circle each other. It’s obvious that Stevens has the height advantage here by about four to three inches as well as a weight advantage while the smaller, leaner Diamond has speed and dexterity at his advantage. The two finally circle toward the center and lock up!
Joe Hoffman: This match should be a great one, folks, and I would like to remind everyone that the man who wins this match will progress in his group as the current leader. If Diamond wins, he will have five points, two more then Graystone and three more then Stevens. If Stevens wins this match he will have Six points which will be three more then Graystone and a full five over Diamond which would effectively mean Diamond would have no chase of gaining the lead in this group.
Benny Newell: Wow, Joe, that was fascinating and boring at the same god damned time. Besides, it doesn’t fucking matter, Stevens has this!
The two men in the ring lock up as Stevens shows off his superior power, pushing Diamond into the ring corner. Boettcher demands that Stevens breaks the hold as the B.A. member slowly backs away..
CRACK!
Stevens slams his knee into Diamond’s midsection taking the air out of him. Shoving Boettcher away, Stevens begins to slam his feet down onto Diamond’s chest stomping whatever breath remains in him out. The fan boo as Stevens grabs Diamond’s leg and drags him out of the corner dropping down for a quick cover!
1!
2!!
KICKOUT!
Benny Newell: SLOW COUNT! That was a slow count by the obviously bias official!
Joe Hoffman: Stevens trying to steal a quit win there, Benny, but I doubt there was anything off about that count.
Stevens quickly picks up Diamond and sends him into the ropes nearly taking his head off as he is turned inside out. Dropping down Stevens attempts another cover..
1..
2..
Kickout!
Joe Hoffman: A close call there for Diamond however he manages to get his shoulder up just in time!
Benny Newell: God fucking damn it these counts are slow, Hoffman! Why Lee hasn’t fired this asshole yet is beyond me! DRINK!
Diamond sends his shoulder up again as he avoids the pinfall though there is a little less life in him this time. Stevens grins broadly as he has the clear advantage on Diamond. Stevens starts to work over Diamond’s legs now, stomping on them in a methodical manner, taking his time as he circles the downed Diamond.
Reaching down Steven grabs Diamond’s leg, twisted it into wicked leg lock as Diamond screams out in pain. Boettcher checks with Diamond who refuses to yield even as Stevens wrenches back. Diamond struggles and manages to drag himself to the ropes forcing Stevens to break the hold. Diamond slowly pulls himself up along the ring ropes as Stevens zeroes in on another attack.
Joe Hoffman: Scott Stevens with a merciless, meticulous offensive here focusing on Diamond’s legs, taking the air game away from the high flyer.
Benny Newell: That’s because he’s a scorpion, numbnuts, he picks his opponents apart! Just like a Scorpion..
Joe Hoffman: Do… do you even know what a Scorpion is?
Benny Newell: Fuck I do! It’s when two dudes bend over and a prostitute takes her pinky finger an-
Joe Hoffman: Aaaaaaand that’s all we need to know about that Benny.
Stevens charges into looking to send Diamond over the top rope with a close line!
Diamond ducks and pulls the top rope down sending Stevens over the top rope and to the ground. The crowd comes to life as Diamond draws energy from them, jumping back up to his feet, gingerly stepping on his right leg which had recently been in Stevens’ grasp. Leveling his aim at Stevens, Diamond launches himself over the top rope crashing down on his opponent!
Pressing his advantage, Diamond rolls a stunned Stevens into the ring and quickly goes to work on his opponent with a series of high impact kicks to the back. Diamond picks up Stevens and sends him into the ropes before hitting a beautiful flying shoulder block!
Diamond quickly floats over Stevens and hooks the leg!

KICKOUT!
Benny Newell: FAST COUNT!
Joe Hoffman: I.. I am not even going to argue the point anymore, Benny.
Stevens expression is somewhat panicked as he throws his shoulder up though he winces from the kicks to his back. Diamond quickly continues his offensive push with a knee to Stevens back followed by a quick whip into the turnbuckle.
CRACK!
Diamond lights Stevens chest up with a thunderous chop!
CRACK!!
Stevens stumbles to the side holding his chest as Diamond continues to stalk his opponent. Stevens is whipped into the ropes where he collides with his opponent with a flying forearm! Diamond grabs the leg once again!

Benny Newell: That’s because Stevens is a winner!
Stevens manages to throw his arm up at the last minute! Diamond looks frustrated as he pulls Stevens up hammering him with right hands, pushing him into the corner as he plans his next attack.
Stevens with a quick kick to the knee he had been working on earlier in the match is enough to force Diamond off the attack. Moving forward, Stevens nails Diamond with a stiff forearm before he grabs his head, slamming his head into the nearby turnbuckle. Whipping Diamond into the opposite turnbuckle, Stevens poses for a moment before charging in with a wicked clothesline, crushing the smaller man into the corner.
ARACHNID PLEX!!
Benny Newell: THAT’S THE MATCH! IT’S OVER!
Stevens bridges the hold as Boettcher floats over for the pin fall…

Benny Newell: FAST CO--.. Hey, asshole!
Diamond kicks out at the last moment! Stevens grabs Boettcher, threatening him as Diamond twitches on the ground. Red faced and with a look of evil, Stevens picks up Diamond calling for the Scorpion Driver! Heaving Diamond up, Stevens snarls….
Diamond struggles, kicking his feet as Stevens loses his grasp..
DIAMOND CUTTER!!!
Joe Hoffman: Diamond might have this! This might be the end of it! If he can get the cover!
Benny Newell: No.. NO! GET YOUR ASS UP! DON’T DISAPPOINT LEE!
Stevens is laid out in the middle of the ring as crowd goes nuts! Diamond looks just as stunned as the audience as he looks around, wide eyed. He quickly pulls himself up to his feet, staring down at Stevens as he points to the top rope! The crowd roars as he quickly ascends…
JACK HAMMER FROG SP-
Stevens gets his knees up! Diamond crashes down as the air is crushed out of him!
Benny Newell: GENIUS! STEVENS IS A GENIUS!
Joe Hoffman: That was a veteran counter there by Scott Stevens as Diamond goes upstairs for a big gamble that did not pay off..
Benny Newell: You might as well call Diamond Mayweather because his gamble DID NOT PAY OFF!!! DRINK!
Stevens uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet, his hand going to his jaw as he is still staggered from the effects of the Diamond Stunner. A look of desperation grasps Stevens face as he realizes he needs to finish this match as soon as possible. Scrambling over to Diamond, Stevens yanks him to his feet and up onto his shoulder…
SCORPION DRIVER!!!
Benny Newell: PIN HIM! STEVENS WINS! STEVENS WINS!
Diamond’s head bounces off the ring apron as his body goes prone. Stevens sits on his knees for a second looking out at the audience as they boo him, a smile slowly coming to his lips as he mouths the words “Three More Points”. Leaning down, Stevens hooks Diamonds leg.

Joe Hoffman: Diamond, in some manner of miraculous awareness, manages to get a kickout! Unbelievable, the crowd is going insane!
Diamond manages to throw his shoulder up at the very last moment! Boettcher signals that the match is still on going as the crowd erupts into cheers. Stevens is beside himself as Diamond has kicked out of his Scorpion Driver! Stevens only answer is to lean down and start to send fists into the prone skull of Diamond before he slowly climbs back up to his feet.
Staring down at Diamond he signals for the You Lose Asshole as the crowd boos loudly. Dragging Diamond up to his feet, Stevens sends a stiff slap across the nearly unconscious face of Diamond, sending him back down to the ring. A snarl comes across the face of Stevens as he picks Diamond up once again.
DIAMOND STUNNER!!!
Benny Newell: NO! FUCK NO!! DIAMOND IS CHEATING! HE HAS TO BE!
Joe Hoffman: DIAMOND WITH A DESPERATION STUNNER!
Diamond slowly drags himself toward Stevens, dropping his arm across his opponent!! Boettcher drops for the count..
