The ring is already filled by the two teams who will participate in the next match-- with the complete lack of theme music, theatrics, or even a camera pointed at the entranceway tonight, it only made sense to handle it during the commercial break. Jace Parker Davidson and Tara Michaels-Davidson stand in their corner, deciding that Tara will start the match for her team.
Meanwhile, Max Kael and Scott Stevens seem to be disagreeing about who will be the first participant in the match, but after some hushed squabbling Scott Stevens points Max out to the apron and takes his corner.
Rick Stevens motions for the bell to ring, even though there isn’t a bell.
Scott Stevens charges for Tara in the corner, blasting into her with a clothesline right off the bat. She’s overwhelmed by the attack, and he follows up with a barrage of big forearms across her head and face. Tara slinks further into the corner, trying to cover up, and finally throws a wild low blow that sends Stevens stumbling backward, falling to his knees.
Rick Stevens steps in, warning Tara and threatening to disqualify her, but she feigns innocence and swears it was an accident. After a heated discussion, Scott Stevens begins to stand back to his feet. The Scorpion moves the referee out of the way, stepping up to Tara Michaels-Davidson and staring into her eyes. Hate is boiling over, but Tara isn’t backing down… she rears back and slaps Stevens across the face!
The crowd is buzzing now as Stevens takes a few steps forward, reaching out in a rage for his Refueled opponent, but Tara quickly tags out to husband Jace Parker Davidson! The booing of the crowd is extra audible in a no-frills arena tonight, and Tara quickly ducks out of the ring and lets her partner take over.
Jace springboards over the ropes, nailing Scott Stevens high on the head with a missile dropkick. The Scorpion hits the canvas hard, pulling himself back up as Jace grabs him by the hair, throwing him to the ropes. Stevens ducks a clothesline, spinning Jace around and hitting a standing neckbreaker in the middle of the ring! He makes a cover.
1!
KICKOUT!
Jace is still too fresh for a pin attempt, and he easily powers out right out of the gate. Stevens gets back to his feet, followed shortly by Jace, and the Scorpion throws a clubbing blow to the back of Jace’s head. He throws JPD into the corner nearest his wife, hitting a backhand chop and then another. And then another. He’s about to throw one more, but Tara grabs a hold her Refueled opponent, squealing at Stevens and mocking him while he’s trying to focus.
Stevens rears back, having had about enough of that bullshit, and punches Tara as hard as he can, right in the face! Tara falls backward off the apron, rolling to the concrete below, but now he’s got to deal with an infuriated husband by the name of Jace Parker Davidson.
Jace shoves Stevens into the middle of the ring, charging with a clothesline attempt. Stevens is ready though, and ducks it, before throwing a boot into Jace’s stomach, setting up for the Toxic Sting! Jace grabs the boot, spinning Stevens around with a counter, but Stevens rolls out of the way and heads for the corner, tagging in Max Kael!
Kael charges for Jace Parker Davidson, but Jace is waiting and he runs right into a Gringo Killer! TWISTED REALITY! Max is laid out on the canvas as Jace makes the cover, and Stevens jumps the ropes to try and break up the count…
ONE!
TWO!
Stevens dives onto the pile to knock Jace away…
THREE!
Referee Rick ‘Even’ Stevens gets to his feet, signaling that the pin fall was legitimate! The match is over! Out of sheer habit, he calls for the bell… but there’s no bell to ring.
Scott Stevens is enraged with Max Kael, who has just cost him the second tag team match of the PPV period against the Davidsons. He doesn’t stick around to make sure that Max is alright, rolling out of the ring and walking toward the back in disgust. Before he disappears from the hard camera shot, he can be seen talking shit to Tara Michaels-Davidson, telling her that it’s a whole different story once they’re alone at Refueled.
WINNERS: Ascended Supremacy by pinfall in 3:35
Meanwhile, in the center of the frame, Jace Parker Davidson looks to ensure that Max Kael won’t be the one taking on Ryan McKenna at Refueled. He unclasps the turnbuckle pad from the corner, throwing it into the middle of the ring before picking Max Kael up off the mat. He drags him into the corner, smashing Max’s face repeatedly against the exposed metal. Max is rag dolled, only being held up by the force of Jace’s repeated slamming-- even Tara gets into the ring to try and keep him from killing the poor bastard.
Jace shoves Tara away, not content with the job he’s done yet. He picks Max Kael back up from the canvas, which is quickly becoming a bloody mess, and grabs him in position for a Russian legsweep… except that instead of slamming him backward, he forces Max Kael forward, destroying his face against the barren turnbuckle. The crowd winces, letting out a gasp as the audible crack can be heard echoing throughout the near silent arena. Seemingly content, he grabs Tara by the arm and leads her out of the ring.
