The lights dim and a single spotlight shines down above the entrance ramp as a guitar begins to wail over the speaker system as “Company Man” by The Company Band. The Ground Zero fans in the audience cheer and begin chanting Townsend. Townsend. Townsend, as The Company Man steps out onto the stage with a towel over his head and he begins to crack his knuckles and neck.
Bryan McVay: Introducing first, hailing from Chicago, Illinois by way of Llanelli, Wales, he weighs in at 251 lbs, representing Ground Zero, RHYS TOOOOOOOWNSEEEENNNNDD!
Joe Hoffman: Townsend is all business here tonight.
Benny Newell: How the fuck do you know Hoffman?!?!? Did you all of a sudden gain x-ray vision and can see his expressions through that towel?
Townsend makes him way down the ramp and towards the ring before climbing into the ring and begins pulling on the ropes to get himself ready before slapping himself in the face a couple of times to psyche himself up.
Joe Hoffman: Townsend is looking to end the year on a high note with a victory here tonight.
Benny Newell: Giving who he’s facing that victory is a guarantee. I got money on the Company Man.
As the company man‘s tune begins to fade, The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd reaction is mixed, but there are more cheers than boos, as an electric guitar wails throughout the PA system and the words of Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "As I climb onto your back, I will promise not to sting. I will, tell you what you want to hear and not mean anything. Then I, treat you like a dog, as I shoot my venom in. You pretend you didn't know, that I am The Scorpion, whoa!" The cheers intensify as the instrumental after the chorus hits the speakers, drawing out the man from Texas
Joe Hoffman: Stevens has look strong in recent weeks. He’s looking to gain his first singles victory in months after leading his team in victory on Chaos to win the tag championships.
Benny Newell: Oh please Hoffman, we all know it was a fucking fluke and Townsend was high and McKenna had the flu that night.
Walking down the aisle, he fists bumps some of his fans while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down at his opponent, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.
Bryan McVay: And his opponent, representing the Great State of Texas, from Houston, Texas and weighing in at 256lbs, he is one half of the world tag team champions, he is “The Scorpion” SCOTTTTTTTTTTTTT STEEEEEEEEEEEVENSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
Joel Hortega goes over the rules with both individuals in some language the two Ground Zero stable mates don’t understand or simply don’t care as they continue to stare at one another. Once Hortega is done checking both wrestlers he signals for the bell.
Ding. Ding.
Joe Hoffman: And here we go.
Benny Newell: I’m about to get rich!!!
Townsend and Stevens begin to trash talk in the center of the ring. The verbal assault ends as the physical assault begins when the five time world champion slaps the Texan across the face.
Joe Hoffman: Stevens isn’t going to take that.
Benny Newell: Townsend just keeping his bitch in check.
Stevens comes back with a right hand but Townsend blocks and sends the Texan staggering back with an uppercut to the throat. Townsend grabs Stevens and whips him towards the ropes but Stevens is able to put on the brakes.
Joe Hoffman: REMEMBER THE ALAMO!
Stevens super kicks Townsend right in the mush and the Welsh man holds his jaw as he stumbles backwards.
Benny Newell: Townsend may have a broken jaw! Do your fucking job and DQ him!
The momentum of the ropes springs Townsend forward to an awaiting Stevens. Townsend goes from holding his mouth to his stomach as he gets doubled over after taking a boot to it.
Joe Hoffman: TOXIC STING!!!
Stevens covers Townsend and counts with his fingers while staring into the camera as Hortega makes the count.
Uno.
Dos.
Tres.
The crowd goes ballistic at the sheer dominance shown by Stevens here tonight.
Bryan McVay: Here is your winner.....SCOTTTTTTTTTTTTT STEEEEEEEEEEEVENSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
Stevens makes Hortega raise his hand in victory one more time as he makes his way around the ring to savor the victory.
Scott Stevens: How’s that for a Lonesome Loser, huh?
Stevens yells into the camera as he makes he way out of the ring and salutes the crowd as he makes his way up the ramp.
Benny Newell: What. The. Fuck. Just. Happened?
Joe Hoffman: It appears you lost your bet Benny.
Benny Newell: No shit Hoffhole! I’m so fucked.
Joe Hoffman: Well hopefully your bookie doesn’t come and collect during the show because we have a long night ahead of us.
Benny Newell: I hate you so much.
The action cuts away Joe and Benny and to the parking lot where we see a lare black Hummer Limo just settling into park.
The driver quickly hops out of the drivers seat and races it seems like forever to the back of the limo to open the door.
We can hear cheers from inside the Best Arena as we see Lee Best exit the limo....smiling from ear to ear.
Lee looks the rebuilt arena over like he is seeing a long lost child for the first time since they were taken away from him in Taken 97 starring Liam Neelson's grandkid.
The Creator of HOW wipes a solitary tear from his left eye and slowly makes his way into the arena.
Tonight is going to be special.
