Season Six, Week Seven
Warsaw, Poland
June 26, 2012
Scott Stevens (4-2, 18%) vs. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (1-5, 3%)
"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of last season's surprises emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. A cocky grin plastered on his face, he arrogantly walks to the ring, turning up his nose at those in the audience that he deems to be beneath one such as himself. Arriving at ringside, his manager gives him a kiss for good luck before he slides in under the bottom rope and stands in the nearest corner, facing the center of the ring.
Amelia Williams: Our next bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!
Bob Sinclair: After a breakout season in Season Five, Stanton has struggled to make an impact this season.
Tori Montgomery: And given that he's in the same pairing as Phoenix, his chances of the playoffs grow dimmer by the day.
Frankie Garnett: What happened to unbiased reporting, Tori?
Tori Montgomery: Like you're one to talk, Mr. "I have my head shoved up Scott Stevens' ass."
Bob Sinclair: That's enough, you two.
The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the former Legacy Pro Wrestling champion. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down his opponent, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.
Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...Her Goddess Selket's favorite Arachnid, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!
Tori Montgomery: And he's also the patron saint of cowardly champions!
Frankie Garnett: Oh, so Phoenix prays to him? That explains so much...
Bob Sinclair: Will you stop?!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of seven minutes and thirty seconds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!
Bob Sinclair: That has to be an upset!
Tori Montgomery: Upset is right, Bob; I think Stanton knocked the wind out of Stevens, and it was enough for the victory!
Frankie Garnett: Like I can believe that for a moment. Scorp just let the kid win, try to fluff his ego a little bit.
Stanton, who is celebrating his win by posing at the turnbuckle nearest Frankie, seems to snap his head around at that comment. Did he hear Frankie over the tumult of this crowd?
Bob Sinclair: Frankie, I'd be careful if I were you.
Frankie Garnett: I'm in this box, Bob. The only way in is through this door of someone breaking the walls like Sam tried to do last week.
Tori Montgomery: Are you sure about that, Frankie?
As Tori asks this, Stanton can been seen in the background climbing up to the top rope in the same corner.
Frankie Garnett: Of course I'm sure, Tori! Do I look like an idiot who—gah!
Frankie's statement is cut off by the leaping Ben Stanton, who leaps off the top rope, doing a forward flip as he barely clears the top of the plexiglass and comes through the open roof, knocking Frankie from his chair. Frankie's head smacks against the handle of the door, causing he and Stanton to be spilled out through the back of the cube. In the ring, Scott Stevens sees this and slides under the bottom rope, making a beeline for Stanton. A moment later, Stevens is intercepted by a flying chair shot, as Ian Carlisle hops from the top of the barricade to the announce table, and from there wipes out Stevens with a steel chair.
Meanwhile, Stanton has summoned the referee down to the floor, and yells at Frankie to "stay down!" (as if the door handle to the back of the head wasn't enough to do it) as he hooks the leg on a lateral press:
1!
2!
3!
Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and the NEW Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!
Bob Sinclair: What in the--?
Tori Montgomery: It's chaos out here, and Stanton takes advantage of a flaw in Frankie's design, coming over the top of it and winning the LPW championship!
Stevens starts to come to, and he dimly sees Stanton holding the belt above his head. Stevens tries to give chase, but Stanton and Carlisle are both too fast, hopping the barricade and leaving the ringside area, Stanton holding aloft the LPW Championship the entire way. In the meantime, EMT's have come to ringside, checking on the condition of Frankie Garnett, who has reached an unsteady sitting position and is bleeding from the back of his head.
Bob Sinclair: Folks, we're going to take a quick commercial break while we get everything sorted. We'll be right back!
